Position Summary

Purpose of the Role

RGSPP is seeking an outstanding and committed Teacher of Khmer to deliver high-quality language and culture education within the whole school. As a founding-phase teacher, you will be instrumental in fostering a love for language learning and Cambodian culture, ensuring students develop strong fluency across reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

  • Deliver engaging, well-sequenced Khmer lessons rooted in high academic standards.
  • Maintain the flexibility to teach across the full age range, ensuring a seamless transition from Upper Primary to Secondary phases.
  • Promote an appreciation of Cambodian culture through integrated learning activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Teaching & Learning
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Khmer and social studies lessons that challenge and support all learners.
  • Adapt pedagogical styles effectively to suit the developmental needs of both Primary pupils and Secondary students.
  • Create a classroom culture characterised by high expectations, engagement, and purposeful learning.
  • Use creative and culturally enriching teaching strategies to enhance student understanding.
  • Maintain excellent classroom management and behaviour standards.
  • Curriculum, Assessment & Data
  • Deliver a bespoke Khmer curriculum that adapts National standards to fit our international school context and allocated instructional time
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of engaging Schemes of Work.
  • Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and inform teaching.
  • Identify pupils requiring additional support or stretch, providing intervention sessions where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of attainment and contribute to reporting processes.
  • Collaboration & Professional Practice
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across all phases to ensure curriculum coherence.
  • Maintain a solution-oriented approach, sharing resources and building the department’s foundation from the ground up.

  • Pastoral, Inclusion & Student Well-being
  • Build positive, professional relationships with pupils that support both academic success and wellbeing.
  • Implement effective differentiation to support diverse learners, including SEND and gifted pupils.
  • Act as a tutor and provide pastoral mentorship for our founding student cohorts.
  • Co-Curricular & Enrichment
  • Lead or support school-wide cultural events and celebrations to establish vibrant traditions.
  • Contribute to enrichment opportunities such as language clubs, competitions, or themed days.
  • Participate in school events, trips, and wider co-curricular programmes as required.
  • Operational Responsibilities & Marketing
  • Maintain organised classroom environments and ensure resources are used effectively.
  • Support recruitment by showcasing language learning to prospective families during open days.
  • Follow all school policies regarding safeguarding, health and safety, and professional conduct.
  • All Teachers at RGSPP:
  • Teach or cover a set timetable per week.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Khmer, Cambodian Studies, Education, or a related field.
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • A teacher qualification from Cambodia National Institute of Education or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching Khmer within a school setting, with a track record of raising student achievement.
  • Experience in preparing students for language assessments is desirable.
  • Experience in a "start-up" or rapidly expanding school environment is highly desirable.

Lifeguard

Position Summary

The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils, staff, and visitors using the school’s swimming facilities. The role involves maintaining vigilant supervision of the pool area, enforcing safety standards, providing immediate response in emergencies, and supporting the smooth daily operation of the swimming pool in line with the school’s safeguarding and health & safety policies.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Safety
  • Maintain constant and vigilant supervision of all pool users.
  • Prevent accidents and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
  • Carry out rescues, first aid, and CPR as required.
  • Enforce all pool rules and school safety regulations in a polite and professional manner.
  • Ensure safeguarding principles are upheld at all times, with particular regard to the welfare of pupils.
  • Operational Support
  • Conduct regular safety checks on poolside equipment, signage, and facilities.
  • Assist with the setup and clearing away of equipment for lessons, training sessions, and school events.
  • Monitor and report water quality, hygiene, and maintenance issues to the Pool Manager.
  • Undertake routine cleaning and hygiene tasks to ensure a safe and pleasant environment.
  • Support the safe and efficient running of school and community swimming programmes.

  • Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses in accordance with school procedures.

Operations Support and Driver

Position Summary

Cambodian candidate

The Operations Support & Driver plays a dual role in supporting both the school’s transportation needs and day‑to‑day administrative operations. This position is responsible for:

  • Safely transporting staff, students and materials.
  • Supporting the Admin Department with event setup, classroom preparation, stock counting, furniture movement, festive decoration, and other duties assigned by the line manager.

The role requires reliability, attention to safety, physical readiness, and a collaborative attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Administration Support
  • Set up rooms, halls, and outdoor areas for school events, assemblies, parent meetings, and activities.
  • Arrange tables, chairs, sound systems, and other equipment as needed.
  • Prepare classrooms for new terms, exams, and special activities as required from time to time.
  • Move, rearrange, or install school furniture and equipment as required.
  • Assist with minor campus logistics and physical support tasks.
  • Support seasonal decoration for school events (Christmas, Khmer New Year, Halloween, etc.).
  • Assist in installing, and removing decorations across the campus.
  • Assist with receiving goods, moving supplies, and distributing materials.
  • Support Admin and Procurement team in periodic inventory checks. Ensure storerooms remain organized.
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by the line manager to support smooth school operations.
  • Transportation & Driving
  • Pick up and drop off staff and students at designated locations on time.
  • Drive responsibly and comply with traffic laws and school transport policies.
  • Ensure passenger safety at all times.
  • Handle emergency situations such as breakdowns or accidents.

  • Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection
