Khmer Primary Teacher
Position Circumstances

Schedule : Full Time ( Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm)
Report to : Khmer Primary Coordinator, KGE Principal, Primary Principal, and Head of School
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Be able to teach Khmer curriculum at the primary level from grade 1 to grade 5
- Experience working with internal teachers
- Plan for teaching students, materials, and learning environment that support teaching practices.
- Undertake other duties assigned by the Khmer Coordinator or School Principals
- Establishes an emotionally safe environment based on mutual respect, warmth, fairness and strong relationships
- Establishes and implements classroom behavioural expectations that clearly outline norms and consequences, respecting school-wide rules as appropriate.
- Establishes a classroom environment that engages students in lessons to promote learning.
- Carries out teaching-related tasks and responsibilities as requested and required.
- Keeps the administration, Khmer Coordinators and school principal informed about student absence, lateness or discipline problems.
- Practices active supervision outside of the classroom, including in the playground, cafeteria, corridors and common areas
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Good
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related fields
Work History:
- Teaching experience for 2 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
- Primary teaching licence or pedagogy certificate
- Be able to communicate with expat teachers in English
- Positive and professional outlook
- Computer literacy in MS Office and Google Workspace
Soft Skills
- Respect time, be patient, and have a high sense of responsibility
- Possess good communication skills, be friendly and lovely to children
