The Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture (ISA) is financed by the Happel Foundation, the Marcuard Family Office, among other donors, and is part of the Swisscontact Development Programme, which is co-financed by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Federal Department of Foreign Affairs FDFA. In line with the aspirations of the Royal Government of Cambodia, ISA will work to make the Cambodian agriculture sector move towards sustainable intensification. In its second phase the project continues to promote appropriate technologies and extension services for a sustainable agricultural production. This leads to an improved soil health that allows smallholder farmers to increase their productivity and income.S Private sector actors providing agricultural products and services such as seeds and machinery are supported in establishing self-sustaining business models in order to increase farmer’s access to farm inputs.

Position Summary

Employment start: December 2025

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Support in developing strategic plans and implementing current and new ISA interventions, ensuring timely delivery of project outputs.
  • Assist the CASIC Chair in day-to-day activities and support the CASIC secretariat to operate smoothly.
  • Work and communicate regularly with key stakeholders in national and provincial government, as well as local and national private sector actors, to optimise the results of interventions.
  • Provide administrative support for project activities, including organising events and trainings, preparing field reports, program documents, and financial frameworks.
  • Support the CASIC in organising, facilitating, and managing logistics for various events and activities (trainings, workshops, meetings, etc.).
  • Assist in drafting CASIC’s annual reports and yearly workplans.
  • Facilitate field visits for the CASIC Chair to assess conservation agriculture interventions domestically and internationally.
  • Support the intervention team in monitoring and assessing activity implementation according to ISA standards and procedures under the Monitoring and Results Measurement (MRM) system.
  • Assist in identifying project risks and challenges, contributing to solutions where applicable.
  • Occasional travel to field locations to support the implementation and assessment of interventions.
  • Support other duties as required by Swisscontact as defined by the Deputy Team Leader and Project Officer.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer - Fluent
  • English - Fluent
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in agronomy or other relevant subjects
Work History:
  • Equivalent of relevant working experience (if any) for 1 year
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Fresh University graduates are welcomed to apply
  • Ability to work independently, with high motivation, responsibility, and professionalism to deliver programme activities to a good standard
  • Fluent in Khmer and with advanced English
  • Computer and digital literacy especially on Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
Soft Skills
  • Willingness to work as team with commitment and ambition to contribute to sustainable and inclusive economic development in Cambodia
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good attitude, open-minded and willing to learn things
