Description: The IT Supervisor is responsible for developing and maintaining the campus’s technology infrastructure, specifically focusing on networking, the campus computer system, and its associated hardware and software components.
- Managing the installation and configuration of computer hardware, software, systems, networks (LAN, WLAN), printers, scanners, and CCTV, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
- Overseeing IT operations and delegating tasks to team members as required.
- Ensuring security, maintenance, and efficient workflow of IT systems.
- Coordinating with other departments to align IT solutions with organizational goals.
- Oversee and maintain the school’s computer systems, networks, and internet access to ensure high availability and reliable performance.
- Manage, monitor, and configure the SaaS, on-premise and cloud-hosted school systems to support seamless daily operations.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain the school’s access control and security systems.
- Ensure timely response and resolution of IT service issues, requests, and incidents across the institution.
- Provide leadership in delivering technical support to faculty, staff, and students, both in-person and remotely.
- Enforce and oversee onboarding and offboarding IT processes for all students, staff, and faculty members.
- Implement and manage the lifecycle of all institution-owned computing assets, including diagnostics, repairs, and hardware replacements to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular auditing and reporting of hardware and software inventory for compliance and planning purposes.
- Prepare and present documentation, evaluations, and recommendations for IT initiatives requiring management approval.
- Manage the complete IT lifecycle for school events, from planning to post-event support, ensuring smooth technical operations.
- Conduct proactive testing of school online exam systems prior to testing dates to ensure seamless execution and zero downtime during examinations.
- Coordinate and deliver IT training and orientation sessions for new students, staff, faculty, and parents to ensure seamless adoption of campus platforms and digital tools.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies and strategically recommend technology adoption to enhance the school’s IT capabilities.
- English - Good
- Undergraduate Degree in IT or a related field as a minimum
- Postgraduate Degree is preferred
- IT functional environment, demonstrating leadership and operational management capabilities for 5 years as a minimum
- Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory administration.
- Experienced with Ruijie Network, Mikrotik, and Huawei access control systems.
- Skilled in operating and managing security gate systems.
- Familiarity with BIPO, Humand, and PowerSchool platforms is beneficial.
- Advanced knowledge of CCTV and access control systems, with HKVision experience as a plus.
- Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or Go to build and automate workflows effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken in English.
- Experience in the education sector is a plus.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, coupled with strong analytical abilities.
