ISF Cambodia is an international organization based in Phnom Penh (Cambodian based charity) with over 18 years of experience using education and sport to change lives. Our aim is to make a fundamental and lasting change in the lives of some of the poorest and most disadvantaged children and their families in Cambodia.

Our Education Programme focuses on children in the slums of the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, whose extreme poverty means they have never gone to school or have had to drop out. We provide them with a quality education a whilend healthcare whilst working closely with their communities to lift entire families out of poverty. Through our grassroots Football Programme, ISF works directly with 4,000 youth, promoting equality and providing opportunities to those marginalized by poverty, disability, HIV and gender.

IT Coordinator

Position Summary

Location: based at ISF Stueng Meanchey Office

Contract Type: UDC (following successful completion of a three-month probation period)

Job Purpose

Oversee all IT requirements for the charity, including, but not limited to, maintaining IT equipment, providing technical support to staff, managing the charity’s server and network systems, and ensuring the proper functioning of the Google G-Suite tools. Additionally, the role involves installing relevant software and supporting IT-related administrative tasks across ISF’s Educational Centres. The IT Coordinator will also be responsible for overseeing the IT curriculum delivered to students, which includes managing and monitoring student equipment and ensuring the smooth operation of all technology related to this project.

Accountability and Relationship:

  • Reports to the Head of Finance, HR and IT
  • Is part of a team consisting of all the staff who work for ISF

Working hours and benefits

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00AM to 12:00PM and 2:00PM to 5:00PM, 7 hours a day unless otherwise agreed with the Head of Finance, HR and IT.
  • 18 days annual leave a year plus public holiday

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Google G-Suite Cloud Management: Administer and manage Google G-Suite tools, including email, Google Drive File Stream, and API service integration with internal systems, ensuring seamless cloud-based collaboration and data storage.
  • Network Management: Manage Mikrotik Core Routing, ensuring efficient routing and security protocols. Administer site-to-site VPN configurations to enable secure and stable connectivity across remote locations.
  • VLAN Configuration and Management: Oversee the configuration and management of Cisco Core and Edge Switches, including VLANs for staff, students, and guest networks. Implement Radius Port Authentication for secure user access control across the network.
  • Wi-Fi Network Management: Administer and optimize Unifi Wi-Fi Controllers, ensuring reliable and secure wireless network connectivity throughout the organization.
  • IT Support and Maintenance: Provide comprehensive IT support to employees by maintaining and securing computer networks, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, managing software licenses and system upgrades. Conduct regular maintenance and repairs for computers and printers. Develop IT protocols and provide support for both hardware and software issues.
  • Security & Patch Management: Perform routine security checks and ensure timely patch management for Windows Server and Linux Debian 9 systems, safeguarding systems from vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Backup Management: Oversee and manage Veeam VMware backup solutions, including snapshot, incremental, and full backup strategies, ensuring that critical data is backed up regularly and is recoverable in case of failure.
  • System Migration: Manage the migration process from XENServer to VMware ESXi 6.7, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal service disruption.
  • User & Access Management: Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units (OUs), and security policies. Configure and enforce Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and access controls. Monitor system logs, apply updates, and resolve issues related to access and permissions.
  • DNS and Domain Management: Manage and optimize DNS records, domain registrations, renewals, and web hosting solutions to ensure uninterrupted service, high performance, and maximum uptime for all online services.
  • Endpoint Security & Firewall Protection: Deploy and manage endpoint security solutions to safeguard organizational devices from cyber threats such as viruses and malware. Configure and maintain robust firewall measures to protect the network from external attacks.
  • IT Network & Server Infrastructure Management: Oversee the overall IT network and server infrastructure at ISF, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security to support organizational needs.
  • Windows Server Management: Manage and maintain Windows Server 2019 Standard, including the configuration and management of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) for system updates and deployment.
  • Team Collaboration & Meetings: Actively participate in staff meetings with the ISF Cambodian team to discuss IT projects, progress, and any emerging challenges, contributing to the team’s collective success.
  • Training & Professional Development: Attend relevant training courses and development programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and improve technical skills for enhanced performance.
  • Annual Performance Review: Participate in annual performance reviews to assess personal achievements, set future objectives, and identify areas for professional growth and improvement.
  • Child Protection Compliance: Adhere to the ISF Child Protection Policy, ensuring that all IT operations and practices comply with the organization's commitment to safeguarding children and vulnerable individuals.
  • Other Duties as Assigned:
  • Perform additional functions and tasks as reasonably requested by the Head of Finance, HR and IT, or the Chief Executive, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the organization.
  • Continuously explore and implement innovative IT software and device integrations that align with global technological advancements, ensuring they meet the evolving needs and objectives of ISF Charity.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Skill and ability to understand Android XO Tablet
  • Understands IT hardware, software and networking, is able to identify and solve problems.
  • Good communication in English
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to work as part of a multicultural team
  • Enjoys working with and for children
  • Honest and trustworthy and willingness to learn new skills
  • Act as a good role model for the children we serve
  • Have excellent computer knowledge of software, MSOffice, and assist program students with program presentation.
