Announcement Description

The "Strengthening Preservice Education System for Health Professionals” (SPESHP) Project is funded by the World Bank and managed by the Ministry of Health during the period 2020 to 2026. The project aims to improve the quality of education for health professionals entering the workforce in response to health system needs. It targets two priority areas, which accordingly form the first two project components. The first component aims to improve the governance of health professionals’ education in Cambodia by establishing education regulations and standards as well as measuring educational outcomes. The second component aims to strengthen competency-based teaching and learning capacity in selected health training institutions (HTIs) including University of Health Sciences (UHS) and four regional training centers (RTCs). The third component will support the project management, monitoring and evaluation.

The Ministry of Health RTC-Kampong Cham is recruiting the following Individual Consultant to carry out and implementing the Strengthening Preservice Education for Health Professionals (SPESHP) Project:

IT Contracted Staff (1 Position)

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • The advisor will undertake the following responsibilities:
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (switch, printers, etc.)
  • Routinely Maintenance the Electronic equipment to ensure proper care and functionality.
  • Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to RTC’s standard software.
  • Ensure the system and software deployed and use at RTC operate smoothly.
  • Provide the training for RTC’s staff on the new technology.
  • Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
  • Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
  • Create reports, checklist and send them to the manager monthly.
  • Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and IPad Tablet, computer equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources at the RTC
  • Monitor CCTV for RTC to make sure it works properly.
  • Provides support with escalated Helpdesk requests.
  • Lead and coordinate with teams to resolve ICT related issues
  • Engage in regular professional development activities and cooperate and communicate well with others.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • The National IT Advisor shall have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent in a related field.
  • Minimum of three​​-year experience in a technical support environment
  • Knowledge of Computer repairing and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux platforms

A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the selection of Individual Consultant method set out in the World Bank Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers, Fourth Edition November 2020.
