REPORT TO : Education Coordinator
HOURS OF WORK : 07.30 am – 04.30 pm Monday to Friday
- PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
- Take part in designing annual implementation and budget plan for Sunrise Kandal.
- Assist with the development of IT infrastructure including, the installation of standard computer equipment and distribution of equipment within the organization
- Provide professional development related to computer skills for teachers and other staff as required.
- COMMUNICATION
- Work closely with relevant teacher team, management staff, Teaching Team and Sunrise staff including the Communications and Liaison Officer and Finance Manager.
- Attend relevant meetings, workshops and conferences.
- COORDINATION AND RELATIONSHIP
- Build and nurture effective working relationships with local authorities, IT Service Providers and other related agencies at province and community level.
- Build a strong sense of teamwork among program staff and ensure high quality communications between staff and Sunrise Kandal facilities.
- Act as a contact person for reporting IT issues.
- Be involved in education team meetings to identify e-learning opportunities and advise about IT capabilities where necessary.
- MANAGEMENT, MONITORING AND EVALUATION
- Ensure IT infrastructure adheres to the organization standard
- Bringing security considerations and requirements to software implementation
- Perform other duties as required by Education Manager, Operations Manager/Country director.
- CURRICULUM SUPPORT AND TEACHING
- Work with teachers to help them use e-learning tools as part of their teaching program.
- Teach students about computer lessons by applying with multi teaching methodologies, and especial student center approach.
- Monitor and assess students to ensure they are meeting ICT learning objectives.
- Plan and teach classes for students to learn the basic and advance computer skill sets.
- Assist English teachers to prepare lesson plans that integrate e-learning.
- Research new e-learning tools related to the curriculum and provide classes to teach students and teachers on how to use these tools.
- Be involved in e-learning teacher team meetings to identify e-learning opportunities or solve problems in using e-Learning activities.
- Continually evaluate e-learning resources to ensure they are meeting the Sunrise’s needed.
- Continually evaluate e-learning resources to ensure they are suitable for the cultural context and skill development needs of the Sunrise student population.
- Initiate new ideas when needed from the education team.
- Produce monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual reports
- IT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administrative tasks such as keeping accurate records of computer lab and what is being taught in classes and maintenance requests.
- Prepare and manage computer lab from day to day working
- Conduct daily checks of software and hardware and report problems to the education manager, and CC to HR & Admin Officer and operations manager,
- Advise on software policies and requirements for installing software onto Sunrise computers.
- Ensure a safe learning environment in the computer labs for all students.
- Ensure that all students and staff are responsible users of technology and follow the Sunrise’s Policy.
- Implementing new feature of existing application from given specifications
- Build and maintain efficient reusable and reliable applications
- Provide IT technical support for all staff daily
- General support with Windows applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Firefox, etc.
- Assist users with issues such as printing, network or Wi-Fi connection, server access, problem with emails etc.
- Remote IT support for staff who works at the field if required.
- Maintain and ensure proper operations and functionality of PCs, printers, scanners, photocopy machines, wireless APs etc.
- Ensure that all PCs are running with up-to-date software esp. antivirus program.
- Resolve issues with PC hardware, software and operating system. Replace broken parts, install Windows and other software as necessary.
- Install and maintain wireless APs, routers, network cables, fingerprint devices, PABX system (telephone lines) etc.
- Maintain, install and configure security cameras and NVRs.
- Provide training to users on the proper use of information services and securities.
- Conduct both preventive and corrective maintenances on both software and hardware.
- Other tasks as necessary or required.
- OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
- To proactively participate in the Staff Performance Appraisal process including the annual appraisal, midyear review and regular 1:1 meetings, ensuring that the Performance Appraisal process (including the paperwork) is an integral component of Annual Work Plans and activities
- Promote a safe and secure work environment; foster a culture of safety and security awareness and consistently follow all Sunrise Cambodia safety and security policies, procedures and directives
- Uphold and promote Sunrise Cambodia’s commitment to Child Protection and the Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment Policy
- Comply with Sunrise Cambodia’s Financial, Personnel and Operational requirements, foster strong communication between operations and programs teams and uphold high standards of honesty and integrity in personal conduct.
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or equivalent in related IT software field.
- Experience in IT Teaching and related field is an advantage.
- Knowledge of internet and email
- Computer literacy with MS Office such as word, excel and Accounting System
- Problem solving skills.
- Good management, interpersonal and communication skills.
