Project Description

“Palm sugar value chain enhancement program” aims to strengthen the palm sugar value chain by addressing key challenges related to farmer safety, product quality, and market access. The program focuses on improving the working conditions of palm tree climbers, enhancing the consistency and safety of palm sugar production, and increasing the visibility and competitiveness of palm sugar in domestic and international markets. Through targeted technical, capacity-building, and market-oriented interventions, the program seeks to support sustainable growth of the palm sugar processing industry.

  • Design and development of safe equipment for palm tree climbing
  • Development of standard operating procedures (SoPs) or handbook for palm sugar processing
  • Training delivery to farmers to improve product quality and safety
  • Support for international promotion and market access of palm sugar

Bidding Components

  • Step 4: The KE committee to review the submitted proposal and quotation.
  • Step 5: Implementers/partners awarding be formally informed after the evaluation by the committee team.

Submission Requirements

Required Documents

Khmer Enterprise would like to invite potential implementers/partners to submit sealed proposals and other required documents for the Palm Sugar Value Chain Enhancement Program.

The required documents are:

  • Concept notes and proposals, including brief activity plans and team member profiles
  • The budget plan for program arrangements (timeline: 12 months)
  • Samples of previous projects
  • The expected outcomes of the planned program
