Louvain Coopération au Développement (Louvain Cooperation or LC) is a Belgian University NGO linked to the University Catholique of Louvain (UCL) operating in five regions of the world: Latin America, Southeast Coast of Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, and Southeast Asia. LC is also working to increase awareness of Belgian community regarding development issues. Louvain Cooperation started its activities in Cambodia by providing financial and technical support to local organizations in 2004 and works now in three different areas: mental health, other non-communicable diseases, food and economic security.

Louvain Cooperation is looking for an intern to perform the role as Field Assistant to assist the Research Coordinator of the LC-CAM office (LC-RC) with field work and logistic tasks related research activities operating by LC.

Intern_Field Assistant

Position Summary

Duty Station: LC office (LC-CAM), with regular travels to the provinces

Duration: 1 month (9 March to 9 April 2020)

Report to Research Coordinator of the LC-CAM office (LC-RC)

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Assist with logistic arrangements at the field and at the office in Phnom Penh in collaboration with LC finance and administrative unit
  • Assist in other field related and logistics aspects related to project and within the scope of this position as requested by the LC-RC.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Skills and knowledge required
  • University degree in Social Science, Rural development, or other relevant degrees
  • Experience conducting research in rural community
  • Have some experiences in field research and logistics arrangement
  • Willing to travel and stay in the province
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft office, Khmer Unicode, Email, and Internet)
  • Personal Quality
  • Dynamic with ability to work independently once instruction has been provided
  • Committed and flexible to work
  • Good interpersonal attitude
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
