In Cambodia, CHAI provides technical and management assistance to the Ministry of Health and national programs for Malaria, HIV, TB, vaccines, oxygen, and more. The CHAI Cambodia Internship Program offers highly motivated individuals an opportunity to be exposed to CHAI’s mission and gain practical experiences in providing support to a number of program areas, including malaria and non-communicable diseases. The internship also allows individuals to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas into shaping CHAI’s work in Cambodia.

The selected intern will be based at CHAI office in Phnom Penh and will work in a diverse and fast – paced environment. The role may require regular travel to national program offices and meetings as assigned.

Position Summary

Length of position: 3-6 months

Reports to: Senior Program Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Review and summarize key points of program documents
  • Participate in designing and revising content for training materials, program documents, and presentations. Assist in the development process of these materials through formatting, editing, translating, and proofreading documents
  • Support the related preparations and follow up tasks for trainings and field visits
  • Help with compiling and checking monthly program data in Excel
  • Assist with maintaining updated records and program tracking spreadsheets
  • Participate and take notes in meetings with CHAI global program teams and country partners
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager
Requirements:
  • Selection criteria
  • Excellent attitude and self-motivated persona with willingness to learn
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate study program
  • Ability to speak, read, and write Khmer and English
  • Advantages
