Speech and Swallowing Therapy Cambodia is looking for dynamic youth who want to gain hands-on experience in the NGO sector. SSTC's internship program is designed to engage young professionals and students with different educational backgrounds in organizational development, program support, fundraising, and visibility initiatives. By working with SSTC's local and international team members in this 6-month program, interns will get practical experience in NGO operations, project management, and community engagement while developing their leadership and professional skills for their career.
Key Objectives:
- Assist in visibility activities including social media, newsletters, and donor communications
- Provide administrative and compliance support to strengthen governance
- Participate in health awareness campaigns and youth engagement activities
- Contribute to fundraising research, proposal drafting, and co‑joint grant applications
- Collaborate with the External Fundraising Advisory Group on donor outreach
- Design and lead a small project or fundraising activity under supervision
This unpaid internship starts in September. SSTC provides intensive professional development benefits (see below).
- Organizational Support (10%): Timely documentation, compliance preparation, and office standards maintained
- Visibility & Communication (20%): Develop content and materials for social media, newsletters, and donor briefs
- Program Engagement (20%): Active participation in campaigns, workshops, and outreach events
- Fundraising Support (30%): Contribute to donor research, proposals, and joint applications
- Independent Initiative (20%): Successfully design and complete a small project or fundraising activity
- Capacity building workshops and training from local and international team members
- Professional mentorship, guidance and feedback from experienced NGO staff
- Certificate of completion upon successful completion of internship
- Personalized reference or recommendation letter(s) for those who successfully complete the program and demonstrate strong performance

- This internship is perfect for university students or recent graduates in public health, marketing/fundraising, communications, social sciences, or related fields.
- Good computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of social media and content creation tools would be an asset
- Strong interest in NGO work, health advocacy, or youth leadership
