Information Technology Intern

Position Circumstances

Position Summary

Contract length: 6 months.

Role purpose

The Information Technology (IT) Intern will collaborate with the IT team to implement and support IT systems across all Save the Children International offices. S/he will provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly. Responsibilities include troubleshooting IT-related problems, setting up workstations and peripherals, and documenting support tickets. This role offers an excellent opportunity for learning and growth within Save the Children International.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Benefits:
  • USD 150 per month covering of stipend.
  • Reimburse any expenses incurred, if they are required travel outside work base station, while undertaking work on behalf of SCI. This may include food allowance, accommodation and transport. The transport allowance will be of

  • Provide internship certification at the end of the assignment.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Fluent
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Undergraduate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Availability to commit to a minimum of 6 months for the internship program.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and eagerness to provide technical support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 services, especially Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Be able to communicate in English and a passion for engaging with diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Soft Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Commitment to learning is essential.
  • Attention to detail is necessary.
