ICT and Digitalisation in Agriculture Consultant
- Career Category: Consultancies
- Location: Phnom Penh
Cambodia has achieved strong economic growth over the past two decades, significantly reducing poverty and improving living standards. However, disparities remain between rural and urban incomes, and the country faces high vulnerability to climate change, which negatively impacts agricultural productivity, rural livelihoods, and health. Agriculture is also a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.
Despite these challenges, Cambodia has significant potential to strengthen its agricultural sector by improving value chains, increasing incomes, and adopting climate-smart practices. The EU- and BMZ-funded CAPSAFE project supports this goal by focusing on the cashew and pepper sectors, targeting smallholder farmers, cooperatives, and MSMEs.
