Human Resources Intern
The Opportunity
Fauna & Flora Cambodia is gradually expanding the project portfolios, enhancing on the HR operations policy, and developing HR transformation strategies to align with global directions and fully committed with country labour law compliances. The purpose of this internship role is to provide the assistance on HR daily operations, talent development process, as well as work closely with the line manager to boost team engagement and monitor on the implementation of HR compliance procedures with Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training as well as Fauna & Flora’s policy.
During the internship opportunity, you will gain valuable learning experiences on practical labour law implementation, as well as overall HR operations within international conservation organisation in which you will not only receive the professional guidance, but also mentorship to sharpen on your next career journey development.
Terms and Conditions
Start Date: November 2025
Duration of Contract: One-year Contract
Monthly Allowance: 250 USD
Location: Fauna & Flora, Cambodia Office

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 5:30PM, with 1.5 hours break from 12:00PM to 1:30PM. With flexibility if there is a need for the intern to study.
Intern Description
Reports to: HR & Training Manager
Key working relationships: Senior People Adviser, International (UK)
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support recruitment activities by posting job adverts, collating CVs, arranging/coordinating interviews and reference checks to ensure a smooth hiring process.
- Assist with induction by preparing documentation, scheduling induction sessions where needed, and helping new staff settle into Fauna & Flora.
- Maintain and update employee records in Fauna & Flora’s online HR Information System and personnel files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.
- Help organise training sessions and workshops by managing logistics, preparing materials, and tracking attendance and feedback. Specifically arrange staff events for example Khmer New Year, staff retreat, and team building.
- Contribute to HR policy reviews by researching best practices, assisting in drafting updates, and supporting internal communication of changes.
- Other responsibilities:
- Assist with HR reporting and file documentation
- Research HR topics and help with HR projects as needed.
- Coordinate employee physical health check-ups and ensure compliance with Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training requirements.
- Perform other tasks as agreed by the HR & Training Manager within the internship scope.
- Skills, Knowledge & experiences
- Essential
- Currently studying towards a qualification in human resources, business administration, or a related field, or a demonstrable interest in HR practice.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good time management and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using standard computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, email).
- Comfortable contributing ideas and assisting with internal communication or events

- Interest in or awareness of best practices in HR and training
- Experience working with HR Information Systems or databases.
- Email/calendar management tools
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Previous experience (voluntary or paid) in an office, HR, or administrative environment.
