The Human-Elephant Conflict Field Assistant (HECA)’ key responsibility is to ensure high-quality and cost-effective implementation of the Biodiversity Research & Monitoring programme in coordination with the Senior community & wildlife officer. He/she will assist the development and implementation of existing action plan under HEC and new data collection protocols, assist in collecting, verifying, and formatting/processing data, and in database management.
The position holder will also assist in supporting administrative, operational, HR, and financial tasks. Effective dissemination of research results that can inform management is essential, therefore the position holder will also support field communication with community and the preparing of field reports or other forms of dissemination, and coordination between different thematic/departments within the organisation and with external partners and stakeholders.
