Housekeeping Head Trainer
You will be in charge of the technical training of 22 Housekeeping students as well as managing the maintenance operations of a small Hotel. You will work amongst a passionate team of 38 staff. Sala Baï is seeking for a skilled professional passionate about sharing his knowledge with the students and helping underprivileged Cambodians to access a brighter future.

- Department Management :
- Manage the laundry staff (2) and the maintenance staff (1)
- Develop, update, and implement the school's maintenance plan
- Manage the monthly maintenance budget and forecast expenses in coordination with the director
- Report maintenance emergencies to the director
- Teaching Responsibilities:
- Ensure all lesson plans for Housekeeping courses are completed to a satisfactory level and are filed correctly and complete weekly session plans
- Deliver high-quality lessons using a variety of student-centered pedagogical techniques
- Use various assessment methods, such as assignments, quizzes, and tests, to evaluate and monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Provide basic counseling to slow learners and those with discipline issues
- Write and correct exams and submit results to the Training Coordinator
- Prevent the use of abusive language, aggressive behavior, and harassment inside the school
- Students’ recruitment & placements:
- Participate in the students’ recruitment process in collaboration with the social workers’ department by interviewing candidates and visiting families
- Follow students during their internship, recommend placement, visit internship partner and ensure the safety of the students
- Accompany the students in their job search after their graduation and help them negotiate their contract
- Operations:
- The hotel has 5 rooms for guests and also used for training purposes. It is open from mid-October until mid-July every year
- Responsible of the maintenance and cleaning operations of the hotel and the public areas. Organize the cleaning schedule with the housekeeping students in coordination with other departments
- Purchase and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory
- Review daily the room maintenance and ensure a high level of housekeeping service.
- Responsible of purchasing and maintaining all departments’ uniforms
- Maintain the hotel standards of hygiene, security, cleanliness and comfort to ensure the highest degree of guest satisfaction
- Keep the students up-to date in the hotel occupancy, rates, special requests, issues, etc.
- Liaise closely with all departments and especially the Front Office
- Respond promptly to all guest problems
- Ensure the timely purchase of all required department’s equipment
- Responsible for year-end inventory of products, furniture and equipment
- Experience:
- Three years’ managing experience in a high standard hotel in Housekeeping or Front Office departments
- Relevant teaching experience is a plus
- Skills
- Good in English and able to deliver classes in English
- Computer literate in office software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for cleanliness and luxury standards
- Educational Expertise: Excellent communication and teaching abilities
- Budget Management: Experience in budgeting, expense forecasting, and cost control
