Purpose:
The Cabin Steward / Laundry's task focuses on meeting the cleanliness standards of Aqua Mekong luxury ship. This is achieved by following cleaning procedures according to the work schedule. This is how high scores on comment cards are earned and favorable guest comments are passed on to the Cruise Director.
Social initiative
Promote environmental initiatives and contribute to maintaining focus and direction in line with the efforts of the Aqua Expeditions team towards environmental conservation and social responsibility.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Housekeeping
- Provide housekeeping service to guest cabins three times a day.
- Leave the bedding ready at night, during dinner time.
- Be attentive to the requirements of guests and the Cruise Director/Assistant Cruise Director.
- Maintain the warehouse corresponding to the designated area in order.
- Prepare towels for guests.
- Comply with safety procedures for cleaning the ship.
- Ensure the safety of guests at all times. This includes always knocking on the door before entering guest cabins.
- Transfer of guests' luggage.
- Cooperate in cleaning public areas of the ship.
- Provide assistance in cleaning the front area where all vests and boots are placed.
- Perform a deep cleaning of the cabins when guests are about to check out.
- Provide support when food and dirty clothing (“provisioning tasks”) arrive at the ship to assist in proper distribution.
- Obey and follow all instructions of the Cruise Director and Captain.
- It is essential to be involved in the activities prepared for the arrival of the guests.
- Laundry
- Receive and mark laundry items with numerical codes or identifying names; and also record it in the corresponding notebook.
- Must be able to read all customer instruction booklets.
- Inspect all items for stains and perform stain removal.
- Keep cleaning machines moist. Additionally, deep clean laundry machines (wet and dry) every two days.
- Finish (i.e. press) all parts according to company and guest standards.
- Make sure washing and drying equipment is working properly and in good repair.
- Assemble and hang ironed garments.
- Keep clean the work area.
- Be an active part of the team that leads the solid waste management program taught to external residents and the task of raising awareness among the population about the importance of adequate separation dictated in the waste management program.
- Promote environmental initiatives and help maintain focus and direction regarding the Aqua Expeditions team's efforts toward environmental conservation and social responsibility.
- Use your natural propensity for self-education, positive attitude, social charisma and excellent work ethic to continually identify and develop new ways to care for and protect the environment and surrounding communities in accordance with the high standards and values of Aqua Expeditions' Environmental Policies.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
- English - Basic
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma in or Certificate in Hospitality
Work History:
- At least experience in hotel housekeeping or cruise operations for 3 years is preferred
