The Head of Human Resources will lead the development and execution of a strategic HR function for AUPP Liger, a fast-growing, innovative secondary school.
The ideal candidate will bring senior-level experience with strong expertise in performance management and KPI systems, change management, organizational development, and talent strategy, along with the ability to thrive in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Leadership and Management
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the school’s goals.
- Build and lead a high-performing and collaborative HR function
- Drive a positive, inclusive, and performance-driven culture
- Oversee learning and development initiatives to support employee growth and capability building.
- Talent Acquisition and Employee Engagement
- Lead international and local recruitment strategies to attract high-quality talent
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring alignment with hiring standards
- Develop and enhance onboarding, engagement, and retention programs
- Manage employee relations, including grievances and disciplinary processes.
- Performance Management and KPIs
- Design and implement a school-wide performance management system
- Develop and cascade KPIs across academic, administrative, and leadership roles
- Lead performance review cycles and promote a strong feedback and coaching culture
- Train managers on objective evaluation and performance discussions
- Oversee performance improvement plans (PIPs) and succession planning.
- Change Management and Organizational Development
- Lead change management initiatives, including communication and stakeholder alignment
- Strengthen organizational culture and support strategic transformation and growth
- Design and maintain organizational structure, job grading, and reporting lines
- Define clear roles, responsibilities, and workforce plans.
- Compensation, HR Policy, Systems and Compliance
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Ensure full compliance with Cambodian labor law and relevant regulations
- Design competitive and sustainable compensation and benefits structures
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration
- Implement and manage HR systems (HRIS, KPI tracking, reporting tools).
- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Fluent
- Master's Degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
- 8–12 years of HR experience, including 3–5 years in leadership roles
- Experience in education, international organizations, multicultural environments, or startup environments is an advantage
- Strong expertise in performance management and KPI systems, change management and organizational development.
- Solid understanding of Cambodian labor laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency in Khmer and English
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and results oriented.
