Head of Finance

Position Summary

General:

  • Responsible for all finance, accounting and tax related matters
  • Responsible for the financial result of the area
  • Responsible for the risks / exposures for all business units
  • Drives value creation initiatives in close cooperation with Regional Management
  • Ensures high quality and timely reporting for group, tax and statutory/legal reporting
  • Ensures reporting and accounting according Reporting and Accounting Manual
Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Planning, Steering and Controlling
  • Participation in the business plan development and definition of objectives short/mid term
  • Proactive analysis of investment plans
  • Steers the short-term planning (budget/forecast) process
  • Analyzes results, reports findings to area management and ensures/supervises implementation of action plans.
  • Ensures compliance to the Internal Control System (ICS)
  • Proactively drives the value creation program and value creating initiatives for the corresponding country/area
  • Treasury and Foreign Exchange Management
  • Supervise:
  • Cash planning, management and funding requirements
  • Foreign currency management in line with Group standards
  • Handles of corporate and bank guarantees
  • Releases payments to bank
  • Reporting
  • Monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting as per policies & guidelines
  • Statutory reporting in accordance with local laws and requirements
  • Co-operation with external and internal auditors and follow-up of their reports
  • Proactively monitor the tax exposure and drive the reduction of the tax rate for the corresponding country/area
  • Tax returns for income tax, capital tax and indirect taxes
  • Net Working Capital Management
  • Establishes local credit policies (if needed) and ensures adherence to Group guidelines
  • Strict monitoring of accounts receivables and respective reporting to Regional office
  • Proactively drives the reduction of DSO and overdue receivables as well as the extension of the DPO for the corresponding country as per targets
  • General
  • Assures appropriate staffing and corresponding training
  • Support Group and Regional management in all finance related issues / projects
  • Special tasks as per Group or Regional management
  • Maintains and communicates local policies and amendments for group policies
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Degree holder in Accounting / Finance / Auditing/ CPA
  • Proven people management and leadership skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to prepare and work with reports
  • Cost optimization oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Is familiar with entrepreneurial and strategic matters
  • High degree of accountability, credibility and assertiveness
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to manage cross functional interfaces and work with different cultures and with remote off-shore partners
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Team player
  • Fluent in English for both written and spoken
