About the Role
De Montfort University Cambodia is looking for a creative, energetic and versatile Graphic Designer & Digital Content Creator to join our Marketing team.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys graphic design, social media content creation and video and is excited about continually developing their skills.
We are not looking for a specialist videographer. We are looking for a multi-skilled creative who can produce strong graphic design, capture and edit engaging video content, and is keen to learn and experiment with new video techniques, creative technologies and the latest applications of AI and digital tools in content creation.
You will work in a creative, fast-moving and supportive environment that celebrates the achievements of our students and brings university life to life through engaging visual storytelling.
We want someone who is full of ideas, curious, enthusiastic and willing to experiment — someone who follows social media, video and design trends and is always thinking about what we could do differently or better.
- Graphic Design
- Create high-quality graphics for social media, digital campaigns, university events and communications.
- Design social media posts, carousels, stories, advertisements, banners, posters and other marketing materials.
- Develop fresh and engaging visual concepts while maintaining university brand standards.
- Keep up to date with current graphic design and digital content trends and introduce new ideas into our creative work.
- Turn briefs and ideas into strong visual concepts quickly and effectively.
- Social Media & Digital Content
- Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram and other relevant digital channels.
- Keep up to date with social media trends, emerging content formats, video styles and platform developments.
- Develop creative concepts for Reels, short-form videos, student stories and campaigns.
- Identify content opportunities across the university and proactively suggest new ideas.
- Understand what makes audiences stop, watch, engage and share.
- Experiment with new approaches and formats to keep university content fresh and relevant.
- Video Creation & Editing
- Capture engaging video content using cameras and smartphones.
- Film university events, student activities, interviews, campus life, guest speakers, company visits and other activities.
- Edit short-form videos, Reels, interviews and other digital content.
- Add captions, graphics, music, transitions, motion elements and other creative features.
- Be keen to learn new filming and video-editing techniques and continually improve the quality and creativity of our content.
- Explore and apply new digital, AI and creative tools that can improve the way content is produced and edited.
- Creative Ideas & Innovation
- Bring new ideas to the Marketing team and contribute actively to creative discussions.
- Look for new and interesting ways to showcase our students, programmes, staff, partnerships and university community.
- Experiment with new creative techniques, technologies and content formats.
- Use AI and emerging digital tools appropriately to support design, video, editing, ideation and content creation.
- Follow developments in design, video, social media and digital content and consider how they can be applied to the university.
- Be willing to learn, experiment and continuously develop new creative and technical skills.

- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, Digital Media, Marketing, Film/Video Production or a related discipline is preferred
- However, creativity, portfolio quality, attitude, willingness to learn and practical ability are more important to us than qualifications alone.
- Applicants should provide a portfolio demonstrating examples of their creative work. This may include: Graphic design, Social media content, Short-form video/Reels, Video editing, Creative campaigns, Photography, Motion graphics or other digital creative work
- Strong graphic design skills and a good visual eye.
- Experience with design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva or equivalent.
- Ability to create and edit short-form video content.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or equivalent.
- Good understanding of social media platforms and current content formats.
- Awareness of current social media video and graphic design trends.
- Ability to use a camera and/or smartphone effectively to capture engaging content.
- Good understanding of composition, typography, layout and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work quickly, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning new creative technologies, including AI-enabled tools.
- Experience creating TikTok, Instagram Reels and other short-form content.
- Photography skills.
- Motion graphics or animation skills.
- Familiarity with Adobe After Effects or similar software.
- Experience or interest in AI-assisted creative tools.
- Experience working with education, youth, lifestyle or consumer brands.
