Announcement Description

The Youth for Change and One Goal Project Model were implemented in Cambodia from 2018 till 2020 with the adaptation of this model to IMPACT+ in 2021 and 2022. This program was intentionally designed in consideration of social norms and cultural factors through community mapping has been fully integrated into the implementation guidance. Through the principle of leaving no one behind in the early process of engaging, the most vulnerable children and girls would have the opportunity to lead and co-design how they would run their youth club in the community and how they can contribute to the wider community through community service learning projects and active engagement with local community leaders. Family and kinship ties and obligations remain strong in Cambodia and are influential behavioral drivers for adolescents and youth: Examining the family context and dynamics is crucial to understanding the opportunities and constraints faced by youth, especially the different needs of girls, boys and especially vulnerable children.
