Position Summary Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
The Gardener is responsible for the care, development, maintenance and upkeep of the grounds at ISPP. The Gardener plays a key role in maintaining the outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, functional, and visually appealing.
- Perform regular duties such as lawn care, plant care, landscaping, soil preparation, and pathway maintenance to ensure clean, safe, and well-maintained outdoor spaces.
- Maintain playgrounds, manage waste, control pests, and ensure proper storage and care of gardening tools and equipment, following maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Assist with outdoor learning spaces, support gardening programs, and prepare outdoor areas for school events and activities with a focus on proactive hazard identification and environmentally friendly practices.
- Basic education
- Knowledge of horticulture and plant care
- Appropriate or related experience in grounds and landscape maintenance
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to read and write in Khmer, some English knowledge is an advantage
- Exemplary personal and professional conduct
- Physical ability to lift up to 30kg and handle machinery safely
- Ability to work out of doors in direct sun in high temperatures
- Ability to safely operate gardening tools and machinery.
