Fund Develop and Communications Assistant (1 Position)

JOB SUMMARY
The FDC Assistant primarily supports the FDC Department in implementing fundraising, donor/sponsor care, and communications activities aimed at increasing the visibility of SOS Children’s Villages Cambodia and securing both financial and non-financial support. The role also involves assisting with administrative tasks, content creation, website and social media management, engagement with donors and sponsors, event coordination, and both internal and external communications.
MAIN CLIENTS
- National Office: FDC Team, National Director, Deputy National Director, and other related functions such as Finance, HROD, Program Team, ICT, Safeguarding etc.
- Field Offices: Project Heads and relevant field staff.
- Regional Office: Regional FDC Team.
- Key stakeholders: Donors from Private Sector, individual sponsors and media, and CSOs.
- Fundraising and Donor Support
- Assist in identification and acquisition of corporate donors, write proposals, develop partnerships, establish and maintain regular contact with corporates by face-to-face meetings, attending donor forums, and email communications.
- Assist in donor mapping, market research, competitor analysis, and fundraising strategy development.
- Assist in digital fundraising including campaign concept design, content development, fundraising through Facebook and other social media.
- Support donor care activities including sending letters of acknowledgment, reports, and updates.
- Assist in maintaining the donor database and records, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Assist in logistics for fundraising campaigns and donor events.
- Communications
- Contribute to the creation of content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other promotional materials.
- Draft the stories, articles, and posts between Khmer and English, ensuring cultural relevance that highlight the impact of SOS Children’s Villages programs
- Assist in the documentation of success stories, photos, and videos from the field.
- Assist in monitoring media coverage and maintaining press contacts.
- Assist in developing fundraising and communication related materials.
- Local travel maybe required
- Administrative and Coordination Support
- Support day-to-day administrative tasks of the DFC Department.
- Assist in coordinating communication between departments and with external partners.
- Maintain filing systems for both physical and electronic communications materials.
- Assist DFC Director and National Director as required.
- Requirement
- University Degree in Media and Communications, Business Management, International Relations, Social Work, or other related fields.
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience with national and international NGO or private sector, specifically on donor communication, digital and non-digital fundraising, corporate relationship and social media.
- Ability to use digital design tools to produce communication material.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Email, and Internet.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is preferable.
- Prior experience working with the children of any NGOs in Cambodia is preferable.

Kindship Care Officer (1 Position)

JOB SUMMARY
Kinship Care officer is responsible for supporting community events and relief efforts to assist beneficiary with their needs, providing them resources, and facilitating lifestyle programs. S/he coordinates with participants, suppliers, and sponsors for funding and promotions. She/he also manages the budgeting and allocation of resources for the programs, ensuring that the activities adhere to the state regulations and community benefits. S/he must have good communication and organizational skills, especially in writing progress reports and transactions
- Leads the development of family strengthening programmes in accordance with the organizational mission, policies and strategies.
- Assists to develop programme activities and budgets and identifies partner organisations.
- Follow/ implement KC strategy and plans in cooperation with the Direct Supervisor, KC Coordinator, KC co-workers and other stakeholders.
- Initiates family strengthening programmes in line with agreed plans and objectives.
- Builds good contacts with family and children, in an appropriate attitude with them in order to develop good relationship.
- Learns about the backgrounds, the situation of the family and also about the problem of children, and causes.
- Provides advices to the family to improve security and comfort of child’s health, nutrition and caring.
- Monitors and technically supports children’s families in community for better knowledge improvement.
- Concentrates on the Family Development Plan (FDP) of each family, checks and collects data with compilation files.
- Work closely with Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) and strengthening of Community Base Organizations (CBOs) and good relationship with local authorities, the other NGOs partners and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with related provincial departments/stakeholders to make agreement for trainings.
- Coordinate extra classes for children and follow up children study performance at schools.
- Record study result of children every semester and yearly.
- Prepare purchase request and quotation for buying uniform and study materials and provide to children for new academic.
- Follows the development of KC activities ensuring target numbers and participants.
- Coordinates mid-term and annual review of KC plans and activities.
- Uses software platforms and systems, including PDB2, RBM and Pro DiGi, but not limited to review and monitoring plan, execute and report on work progress and achievements.
- Provides regular monthly reports to Village Director, Assistant Program Director, and KC Coordinator.
- Attends corporate office meetings, activities, trainings, and events as required by the organization.
- Works in close cooperation with KC Coordinator and other key support co-workers to develop KC plans and activities.
- Fully supports efforts led by Village Director to create effective integration project locations.
- Responsible to raise awareness of the SOS Child Protection Policy principles and to prevent and protect children/young people from all forms of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, violence, discrimination and CS reports should be made to the CS team at program level and/or to the respective line manager.
- Qualification & Experience:
- Graduated bachelor’s degree in social work, social science and community development or other related fields Management, education etc.)
- A minimum of 2-3 years of related experiences with NGOs, UN agency, or private sectors.
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavioral problems effectively with ethnic minorities
- Ability to plan in writing and implement quality outreach program
- Good knowledge of development of familylivelihood, community involvement in the village and community development work.
- Time and energy to devote to theproject, a desire to continue learning in the project areas, and ability to share decision making and responsibility with our target beneficiaries/families
- Good in MS Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Good facilitation, diligent and interpersonal skills
- Good in spoken and written English and Khmer is a must.
- Willingness to work overtime on weekends and travel to target provinces and communities
