Position Summary

Wildlife Alliance is recruiting an FPIC & Community Consent Manager to take primary responsibility for the integrity, clarity, and consistency of Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC) processes across a large-scale conservation and carbon initiative. The role requires both technical command of FPIC standards and the ability to lead structured, credible engagement with communities and external reviewers.

Overview

The FPIC & Community Consent Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a structured, verifiable FPIC system across multiple communities. The role combines regular engagement in project areas with technical oversight of FPIC standards, team management, and interaction with auditors and external reviewers, working closely with senior management and coordinating across community-facing and safeguards functions. The role has organization-wide relevance due to its interface with operations, community engagement, and external review processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead FPIC processes across all project communities
  • Develop and maintain standardized consultation procedures, materials, and documentation
  • Supervise and quality-control FPIC field teams
  • Lead and structure community consultation meetings
  • Ensure communities receive clear, accurate, and consistent information about project activities, land use, conservation frameworks, and the roles of different stakeholders
  • Maintain complete and audit-ready records of consent processes
  • Serve as primary point of contact for FPIC-related audits and external reviews
  • Coordinate closely with teams responsible for local networks and grievance and safeguards systems
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer - Fluent
  • English - Fluent
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Khmer national with professional fluency in Khmer and strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Years of experience in community engagement, conservation, or development programs
  • Demonstrated experience working with indigenous or rural communities
  • Strong understanding of FPIC principles and international standards
  • Proven ability to manage field teams and multi-site operations
  • Experience leading structured consultations in complex environments
Soft Skills
  • Strong communication capability, including the ability to explain complex topics clearly, lead group discussions, and maintain credibility with both communities and external reviewers.
 
 

Feedback & Grievance Redress Mechanism Manager

Position Summary

Wildlife Alliance is recruiting an FGRM Manager to run the grievance system serving local communities. The role ensures grievances are received, handled, resolved, and documented in a consistent and credible manner.

Overview

The FGRM Manager operates and strengthens a structured grievance system across local communities. The role combines case management, team supervision, and periodic work in rural areas, while based in Phnom Penh. It works closely with senior management and coordinates with community-facing, governance, and safeguards functions, and contributes to reporting and review processes within the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full grievance lifecycle: intake, logging, classification, investigation, resolution, and closure
  • Maintain a clear case system with defined workflows, timelines, and accountability
  • Supervise grievance staff
  • Ensure all grievances are recorded, tracked, and followed through to resolution in line with established procedures and relevant international standards
  • Apply and enforce standards for response times, escalation, and closure
  • Ensure accessibility of all grievance channels
  • Maintain complete and audit-ready records of cases and outcomes
  • Produce clear reporting on trends, resolution rates, and recurring issues
  • Support grievance-related audits and external reviews
  • Refer cases to relevant external authorities where required, with proper documentation and follow-up
  • Identify recurring issues and support corrective action
