Finance Officer
As a Finance Officer, you will maintain all bookkeeping, supporting documents, reporting requirements for donors, and also other finance issues for Mith Samlanh.
- Report on Monthly Balance Sheet, to project management, and GFATM monthly financial reports
- Payroll budget allocation.
- Coordinate year-end accruals procedures and adjustments (prepayments, accruals, un/earned income)
- Support Mith Samlanh team & Finance Coordinator in general finance training
- Conduct weekly cash count with cashier and make sure cashbook balance is accurately matched with cash-on-hand.
- Voucher Filing system must be coherent allowing for ease of locating vouchers, and filed according to voucher sequential number.
- Review both advance and expense vouchers ≤ $300 with budget allocation and validate following the finance policy and donor requirements.
- To ensure the accuracy of reports and ease of end-of-year audits, on a monthly basis thoroughly check all data entry in QuickBooks.
- Prepare the monthly Balance Sheet Report and also do the 2nd review that reconciliation (Bank, Cash, AR, AP, Advances, etc.) and reconciliations must be printed and must have 2 signed checks (Finance Officer and Finance Coordinator).
- Double check on GFATM QuickBooks data entry before producing the financial report
- Produce the monthly GFATM financial report and send it to FI by the deadline.
- Implement all tasks in accordance with the Finance/Admin Policy & Procedures
- Maintain in place all strong internal control systems to prevent, reduce, or detect errors and/or fraud
- Provide any financial advice as required to teams and management
- Other tasks assigned by manager
- You’re experienced in NGO accounting, finance systems, QuickBooks, and financial reporting
- You’re knowledgeable about working with institutional donors such as Global Fund, UNICEF, EU, etc.
- You’re experienced in consolidating donor financial reports.
- You’re well-informed and experienced in tax e-filing, NSSF
- You are a native Khmer speaker, and your English is excellent
