The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with Cambodian tax regulations and accounting standards. This role supervises the accounting team, supports audits, and drives process improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee general accounting functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure timely compliance with Cambodian tax laws (VAT, WHT, CIT, TOS, etc.).
- Support quarterly and annual audits, including corporate financial controls audits.
- Assess current accounting practices and recommend improvements.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff, including performance management and training.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, tax authorities, and internal teams.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.

- Payment Review & Verification
- Audit vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and other disbursements for accuracy and legitimacy.
- Verify supporting documentation (invoices, approvals, contracts).
- Ensure payments comply with company policies and delegated authority limits.
- Review duplicate, unusual, or high-risk transactions.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Evaluate effectiveness of payment controls and recommend improvements.
