Position Summary

Job Vacancy Finance Manager Wildlife Alliance is seeking a Finance Manager to strengthen its financial planning, project analysis and management reporting.

Having operated in Cambodia for more than two decades, Wildlife Alliance is now concentrating on REDD+ project implementation. Entering this next phase, Wildlife Alliance is investing in the people and systems needed to manage increasingly complex conservation and carbon-finance activities.

This newly created position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare organizational, program and project budgets, forecasts and cash- flow projections.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for REDD+ and other strategic initiatives.
  • Analyze project costs, potential revenues, financial distributions and sensitivities.
  • Prepare regular management reports and quarterly financial materials for the Board of Directors.
  • Produce financial information for project partners and external due- diligence processes.
  • Support financial analysis relating to commercial arrangements and strategic decisions.
  • Strengthen financial planning, reporting and decision-support processes.
  • Help define requirements for a new financial-management system and participate in its evaluation, design and implementation.
  • Coordinate financial inputs from program managers, project personnel and other budget holders.
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Fluent
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
Work History:
  • Progressively responsible finance experience for 5 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CFA or an MBA are desirable but are not a substitute for demonstrated analytical ability.
  • Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, project finance, commercial finance, investment analysis or transaction advisory.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow, project economics, sensitivity analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and decision materials for senior management.
  • Experience in carbon markets, renewable energy, infrastructure, banking, investment, development finance or a major international organization would be advantageous.
Soft Skills
  • The ability to explain complex financial conclusions clearly and accurately.
  • The willingness and ability to perform detailed analytical work personally.
