JOB PURPOSE: The Finance Intern will provide essential support to the Finance and Operations team in ensuring compliance with donor requirements, assisting with budget preparation, and supporting financial and logistical processes. He/She is a member of the Mekong Regional Water Governance Program team (MRWGP) and has the opportunity to gain experience and work with teams across Asia’s varied cultural contexts.
- Assist the Finance and Operations team in reviewing expenditures to ensure compliance with donor regulations.
- Support team drafting of budgets for workshops, trainings, and events.
- Assist in reviewing advance settlements, requisitions, and related financial documentation.
- Provide support in event organization and logistical arrangements, including hotel bookings, venues, meals, ticketing, and ground transportation.
- Join the trip with the Program team to the field site, provide support, and learn from the community and partners who work relevant to the project/ program.
- Support the Finance and Operations teams during internal and external audits by preparing relevant supporting documents for auditors.
- Assist the team with photocopying and scanning required documents after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the line manager.
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration or similar empirical knowledge
- Computer literacy, especially Ms. Word & Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations
- Spoken and written English skills
- Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Good computer skills (writing and spreadsheet programs).
- Willingness to travel to remote areas or Asian countries as required.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and aptitude to learn quickly.
