Finance Assistant

Reports To: Senior Project Manager, Finance Director, and Finance Bank Stock
Finance Assistant will provide a variety of accounting functions. This will include but is not limited to: banking, receipting, bank reconciliations, and payroll functions, preparing cheques, bank vouchers, journal vouchers, depreciation calculations, maintaining the fixed assets register, processing monthly project fees, performing field staff training and reviewing petty cash replenishments
- Administration
- Ensure that policies relating to employee, equipment, and vehicles are monitored and
- updated.
- Maintain an appropriate filing system to include all essential relevant document to ensure accurate tracking and documentation for audit purpose.
- Asset and equipment management to ensure that new purchase and equipment are
- record onto the assets and equipment list in a timely manner and also update assets and equipment list in province.
- Ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained, which include using logbooks and
- produce monthly fuel consumption for all motorbikes in province.
- Regularly monitor and update staff attendance, annual and sick leave record of all staff
- in province.
- Ensure the adequate supply of stationery in the office and monitor the consumption.
- Purchases office supplies.
- Ensure that the office building is safely locked outside office hours and that all vehicles
- are secured in the compound.
- To perform other duties as assigned by Finance Director, Backstop Finance in Phnom Penh, and Senior Project Manager.
- Finance
- Checking and preparing payment for all expenses.
- Checking and reviewing all requests from Program Unit for project budget and
- operation expenses.
- Preparing bank request deposit and withdraw the note project.
- Checking and verification cash reconciliations for project in provinces.
- Scanning, filing and logging account documents.
- Assist the Finance Officer to complete some tasks based on guide.
- Any other relevant duties in support of Finance unit.
- Khmer - Fluent
- English - Good
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience with NGOs is preferred.
- Good understanding Finance principles.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent Khmer (spoken and written)
- Good English (spoken and written)
- Good interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines.
- Willingness to travel regularly within Pursat Province.
