Position Summary

Kong Ty Group supplies construction materials, modern furniture, and tree nurseries in Battambang and Poi Pet, BMC. The Finance & Accounting Manager (FAM) is a key management position responsible for providing accurate financial information, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and offering strategic recommendations to support the CEO and General Managers in informed decision-making. The FAM ensures sound financial management, strong internal controls, compliance with laws and regulations, and sustainable financial performance across all KT Group entities.

The role combines financial leadership, accounting management, business analysis, and advisory functions, acting as a strategic partner to management rather than only a reporting function.

Working Relationship

  • Internal: CEO, General Managers, Department Heads, Finance & Accounting Team.
  • External: Auditors, banks, tax authorities, consultants, and regulators.

Ethics & Confidentiality

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and business information.
  • Act in accordance with KT Group’s values, policies, and ethical standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management & Control
  • Oversee daily financial and accounting operations of KT Group and its subsidiaries.
  • Ensure proper bookkeeping, accounting records, and financial data integrity in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
  • Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts, and consolidated reports.
  • Analyze financial performance (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and explain variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Provide clear, concise, and decision-oriented financial reports to the CEO and General Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, tax filings, and external audit requirements.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
  • Lead the annual budgeting process for KT Group and business units.
  • Develop financial forecasts, rolling projections, and scenario analyses.
  • Monitor budget execution and identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support long-term financial planning and investment analysis.
  • Business Analysis & Advisory
  • Analyze business performance, cost structures, pricing, margins, and profitability by product, project, or business unit.
  • Identify financial and operational issues affecting business results and sustainability.
  • Provide data-driven insights and practical recommendations to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Act as a financial advisor to General Managers and the CEO on strategic and operational decisions.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management
  • Manage cash flow planning, monitoring, and optimization.
  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to support operations and growth.
  • Oversee banking relationships, payments, collections, and credit control.
  • Monitor working capital, receivables, payables, and inventory efficiency.
  • Tax, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure compliance with Cambodian laws and regulations related to accounting, tax, finance, and reporting.
  • Oversee tax planning, tax filings, and communication with tax authorities.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Identify financial risks and propose mitigation measures.
  • Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Assign clear roles, responsibilities, and performance targets.
  • Build a culture of accuracy, accountability, ethics, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective collaboration with other departments.
  • Systems & Process Improvement
  • Oversee accounting and financial systems (ERP, accounting software, reporting tools).
  • Improve efficiency, automation, and data quality in financial processes.
  • Support system upgrades and implementation of new financial tools.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CEO or Board of Directors.
  • Authority & Decision-Making
  • Approve accounting entries, financial reports, and internal financial procedures.
  • Recommend budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to the CEO.
  • Advise management on financial implications of major business decisions.
  • Enforce compliance with financial policies and internal controls.

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • Khmer
  • English
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
Work History:
  • Relevant experience, including managerial or supervisory roles for 3 years as a minimum
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial management.
  • Experience in the construction business is an advantage.
Soft Skills

General Manager

Position Summary

The position is based in Poi Pet, BMC

Kong Ty Group supplies construction materials, modern furniture, and tree nurseries in Battambang and Poi Pet, BMC. The General Manager (GM) is responsible for overseeing the full operations of a single branch, managing between 30 to 40 staff. The GM provides strategic leadership, ensures interdepartmental coordination, drives profitability, optimizes resources, and ensures customer satisfaction. This role also includes overseeing purchasing, supporting collections of accounts receivable (A/R), and guiding both sales and finance teams to meet operational and financial goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership & Business Planning
  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan aligned with company goals.
  • Prepare and implement the effectiveness of activities flow, workflow, and standard operation procedure (SOP).
  • Monitor progress toward KPIs and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and local opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and legal regulations.
