The Field Technical Coordinator is responsible for hands-on field implementation of climate-resilient cashew and pepper demonstration farms. The role integrates technical agroecology support, farmer training, market linkage facilitation, monitoring and learning, and field coordination, ensuring demo farms function as practical learning hubs and drivers of adoption and scaling.
Location: base in Memot (Tbong Khum) or Phnom Penh
Target provinces (Kratie, Kampong Thom, Kampot, Tboung Khmum) with frequent field travel
- Coordinate design, establishment, and monitoring of cashew and pepper demonstration farms.
- Provide hands-on technical support on GAP, agroecological solutions i.e. regenerative agriculture, IPM, and soil health.
- Facilitate farmer trainings, field days, and peer-to-peer learning events.
- Engage cooperatives, CAOs, and private sector actors to support input access, services, and market linkages.
- Collect field-level monitoring data, document learning, and contribute to project reporting.
- Serve as field focal point for coordination with local stakeholders and project management.

- Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, Rural Development, Agribusiness, or related field.
- Field experience in agricultural development projects for 5 years as a minimum
- Practical experience with demo plots, farmer training, and extension approaches.
- Exposure to agroecological farming solutions, GAP, climate-smart or regenerative agriculture.
- Experience working with cooperatives, CAOs, and/or private sector actors.
- Strong coordination, facilitation, and basic reporting skills.
- Fluent Khmer; good working English; willingness to travel frequently
Field Technical Assistant

The position is for Demonstration Farms & Farmer Learning
Now we are recurring the position of Field Technical Assistant supporting the on-the-ground implementation of cashew and pepper demonstration farms and farmer learning activities. The role focuses on hands-on farm support, farmer mobilization, training assistance, coaching, and field monitoring, ensuring promoted agroecological and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) are properly applied and understood by farmers.
Location: base in Kratie town - target province (field-based with frequent travel to demonstration sites)
Contract Type: Full-time, project-based
Reports to: Field Technical Coordinator
- Support establishment and maintenance of demonstration farms.
- Assist farmers in applying agroecological, GAP, and climate-resilient practices.
- Mobilize farmers and support field days, trainings, and learning events.
- Provide basic coaching to demo farmers and nearby adopters.
- Conduct regular farm visits and flag technical issues to supervisors.
- Collect field data, photos, attendance lists, and farmer feedback.
- Support coordination with CAOs, cooperatives, and local stakeholders.

- Bachelor's Degree in or Diploma in Agriculture, Rural Development, or related field.
- Basic data collection and record-keeping skills.
- Minimum 2–3 years of field experience working with farmers.
- Basic knowledge of agroecological farming solutions, GAP, or climate-smart agriculture.
- Experience with demo plots, extension services, or farmer groups is an advantage
- Strong practical field and farmer engagement skills.
- Fluent Khmer (spoken and written)
- Basic English skills preferred
- Good communication and farmer mobilization ability.
- Team players with willingness to learn and follow technical guidance.
- Willingness to work in rural areas and travel frequently
