Field Agronomist (2 Positions)
Project: Transforming Live Through Nutrition

Employment period: 1 year with possible extension
iDE Cambodia is seeking a Field Agronomist to support the TLTN project. This position is responsible for implementing field activities for promoting farmer adoption of regenerative home gardening and nutrition related activities.
- The key responsibilities of the Field Agronomist will include the following:
- Implement relevant field activities including meetings, forums, trainings, exposure missions and other events.
- Select and install training/demonstration of regenerative home gardens and ensure the installed training/ demonstration of regenerative home gardens are operational.
- Conduct regular follow up visits to farmers to provide technical support on regenerative home gardening, field demonstrations and help timely addressing issues related to crop production.
- Work in close coordination and partnership with the Nutritionist to organize nutrition related training activities.
- Work closely with the other Agriculture team to learn, adapt, and apply regenerative agriculture home garden and lead the development of regenerative home garden model with primary focuses on nutritious foods for the households with children under five years old.
- Work closely with the Nutritionist to develop training materials related to home garden, regenerative agricultural practices and nutrition.
- Work closely with local input suppliers and other service providers to improve business linkage and farmer access of the promoted inputs and practices.
- Work closely with market actors, schools, health workers and local authorities to enhance access to more nutritious foods.
- Motivate farmers keeping records on their production, sale and incomes for reliable analysis.
- Assist in conducting baseline and other M&E works as required by M&E and project management.
- Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as requested by project management.
- Candidates are expected to have the following qualifications, skills, and experience, and to be comfortable with the following conditions:
- Graduated university degree in agronomy or related fields
- Minimum two years’ work experience in rural development especially skillful in vegetable production.
- High level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and persuasive skills.
- Fair in English and strong in Khmer communication skill.
- Computer skills (Ms. Office).
- Be able to drive motorbike in rural areas.
