Purpose
The Facilitator is responsible for the project implementation of the “1. Project Title “Empowering children and youth to promote inclusive and equitable education ” project under the Children First program, based in Siem Reap province. The objective of this project is to empower children and youth, particularly those with disabilities, by facilitating inclusive child and youth clubs that promote active participation, leadership, and advocacy on rights and social issues such as gender justice, child protection, and education access.
The Facilitator is responsible for implementing activities, working in partnership with relevant stakeholders of the project and reporting to the Project Manager (PjM).
Conditions of employment:
This is a full-time position that will be based at the First Step Cambodia office in Siem Reap. A competitive salary is offered and will depend on experience and qualifications.

Note: We are a child protection organization, therefore, successful candidates will be asked to provide a criminal record and characteristic check provided by the relevant authorities and sign on child protection policy.
- Project Deliverables:
- Facilitate child and youth clubs, including organizing and delivering engaging activities and capacity-building training sessions.
- Empower children and youth to participate actively in the school management committee (SMC), ensuring their voice and leadership development.
- Strengthen school management committees and local governance structures to support child and youth participation.
- Develop training materials on online sexual abuse and exploitation;
- Facilitate awareness raising to children and youth on online sexual abuse and exploitation;
- Support children and youth to conduct awareness-raising activities in the communities;
- Provide coaching support to children and youth representatives;
- Support children and youth representatives to participate in the Commune Committee for Women and Children to raise online sexual abuse and exploitation issue;
- Organize review and reflection meeting with children and youth members;
- Planning, data collection and reporting:
- Develop and submit a personal monthly work plan to the project manager;
- Complete data tracking table and submit to the project manager in a timely manner;
- Produce and submit a success story of the project to the project managers in a timely manner;
- Produce and submit activity reports to the project manager in an accurate and timely manner;
- Documentation and compliance:
- Ensure all project-related documents are filed and stored in a safe and confidential manner;
- Capture and document project achievements, challenges, and lessons learned;
- Ensure compliance with all FSC’s policies, standards, and procedures, especially child safeguarding policy;
- Ensure the timely completion of the monthly timesheet and provide the Admin and Finance Manager (AFM) with all supporting documentation in relation to salary payments;
- All supporting documents in relation to finances must be submitted in a timely manner in accordance with the FSC Finance Policy and Procedures.
- Any additional responsibilities as appropriately assigned by the project manager.

- High School Diploma
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- Extensive understanding of online sexual abuse and exploitation context of Cambodia;
- Extensive understanding of child and youth club;
- Solid experience in facilitation of awareness raising events in communities;
- Demonstrated practical experience of children and youth engagement;
- Extensive experience in working in partnership with NGO and local authorities;
- Demonstrated understanding and awareness of advocacy, community mobilization, and social issues;
- Excellent communication skills.
- Be able to develop and communicate realistic action plans;
- Computer skills (e.g. MS Microsoft programs) desirable;
- Experience with generating content for social media updates;
- Able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively, tactfully and diplomatically with diverse people;
- Ability to foster and maintain a spirit of unity, teamwork and cooperation;
- Sensitivity in working with multiple cultures and beliefs, and to gender equity.

- Proficient in Khmer, both spoken and written
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written, would be an advantage
