Executive Director of Fundraising
Job Summary
The Executive Director of Fundraising is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, administering, evaluating, and monitoring an ambitious Direct Fundraising Program. This program focuses on developing and securing funds to meet or exceed fundraising objectives through a diverse range of financial development mechanisms, including but not limited to:
- Individual donations and enhancement of donor contributions.
- Corporate gifts and sponsorships.
- Foundation support for specific programs and projects.
- Gift Planning to facilitate legacy donations or retirement plan beneficiary designations
The incumbent will collaborate closely with Operations and Administration to create fundraising plans that align with the priorities established in the Executive Director’s annual budget, ensuring a balance between the philanthropic interests of funders and the organization's objectives and mission. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the timely submission of donor reports, which may be submitted quarterly, semi-annually, or annually, depending on donor requirements. Further collaboration with the Communications team is essential to develop compelling messaging and narratives that resonate with stakeholders.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- The successful candidate must be able to travel frequently within the assigned territory to engage with field staff and accompany visiting donors to various sites.
- The candidate must also meet attendance requirements and possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in the English language.
- It is preferred that the candidate is already in Cambodia.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in fundraising and communications, with a focus on strategies for private donor engagement and retention. -
- Highly developed communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Strong data analysis skills and reporting capabilities to inform/persuade donors of strategic planning

- Experience or familiarity with nonprofit CRM environments is required; familiarity with Network for Good is advantageous, along with experience managing Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) accounts.
- Proficiency in understanding and managing budgets and financial matters is essential.
