Position Summary

POSITION OVERVIEW

The ES Teaching assistant provide key support to the assigned homeroom teacher in the care, supervision and learning of students.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Support the teacher in providing an effective learning environment
  • Assist the teacher with student care and management
  • Perform routine maintenance of classroom materials and equipment
  • Perform other duties on:
  • Support student learning
  • Support classroom organisation
  • Wellbeing, health & safety management
  • Specialist classes and other activities
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma – advanced education desirable
  • Previous school experience as a TA preferably with young children
