Equity and Inclusion Program Intern (1 Position)

Position Summary

BENEFIT : Allowance ($US150.00 and plus health and personal accident insurance cover)

INTERNSHIP DURATION : Six months – with possible extension to one year

REPORT TO : Program Manager

EXPECTED START DATE : The first week of May 2021

Expectations

One of the WaterAid strategic approaches to support Cambodia reaching universal access to sanitation and water by 2025 is equity and inclusion. This approach aims to inspire the WASH and health sector to practice the inclusive and equitable WASH.

The Equity and Inclusion Program Intern will work closely with Equity and Inclusion team to support the gender transformative project of WaterAid including but not limited to assist in organizing either meeting or event, media support of gender campaign as well as learning and documentation of Equity and Inclusion Program.

This internship will provide learning opportunities for the successful candidate to develop skills and knowledge in equity and inclusion, especially gender perspective in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector in Cambodia. The intern will also have opportunity to make connections with wide range of stakeholders in WASH sector.

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Support Equity and Inclusion team to implement the gender transformative project
  • Support the coordination of gender campaign including:
  • Support the outreach of campaign and learning materials
  • Develop content, manage and monitor the campaign Facebook page
  • Coordinate communications and information sharing with relevant stakeholders
  • Organize training, learning, and reflection sessions with team and relevant stakeholders
  • Support learning and documentation of Equity and Inclusion Program
  • Complete a short summary of his/her personal development during the internship
  • Travel to field if required

  • Communication skills including team work, group discussion and conflict management

  • Knowledge in gender and inclusion is a plus
  • Knowledge in digital media, and content management
