EQUAL Program Officer

Position Summary

Contract length : TBC

The role

The EQUAL Program officer is responsible for excellent delivery of implementation of EQUAL project regarding to KYOBO funding in 20 target schools of EQUAL in Kampong Chhnang in accordance with the project design, budget, work plan, M&E plan, and financial management in line with Save the Children policies.

The post holder works in close collaboration with other 3 EQUAL program officers, EQUAL project manager, M&E program officer, education manager, Senior education advisor, program officers, Provincial Office of Education, District Office of Education, and teachers to deliver excellent results of the project.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • National only
  • Essential
  • Degree or background in education or any equivalent fields;
  • Minimum of 5-year experience in educational NGOs particularly provide orientations/trainings to POE/DOEs, school principles/teachers.
  • Good knowledge of education system and concept especially methodology of teaching and learning.
  • Ability to plan, implement and monitoring and feedback for improvement;
  • Ability to advance and reimbursement, and trackle the budget.
  • Ability to advice and support colleagues in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skill (proactive, dynamic and humble);
  • Motivation skills and team building capacity.
  • Ability and commitment to work as part of team;
  • Flexible and adaptable with different circumstances;
  • Highly creative, honest and responsible;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Khmer.
  • Willingness to be based in the province and/or travel for up to 75% of time to the project sites. Excellent in community mobilization skills;
  • Desireable
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in development sector.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, and solve problems independently.
