Job Expectations
- Teachers at AUPP are expected to work collaboratively in order to provide a positive educational experience for its students.
- Full-time teachers are required to provide 20 hours of classroom instruction per week.
- Teachers are expected to hold “office hours” in order to provide individual help to students. These hours are not expected to be held outside the normal working day.
- Teachers will be asked to facilitate an after-class activity, such as a club or group pursuit. Examples of this may be a book club, Model UN, debate club, Art Club, etc. The time parameters of this expectation will be determined by the activity. Stipends will be paid based on time expectations.
- English - Fluent
- English teaching experience for 3 years is preferred
- Educational degree(s) reflecting intimate knowledge of English literature and language.
- Able to teach students the intricacies of research writing. Knowledge of the AP (Advanced Placement) curriculum is a plus but not required.
- Teaching certificate is a plus, but not required.
- Be a native English speaker (mandatory)
- ESL Certificate is a plus, but not mandatory
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be passionate about learning and teaching
Math Teacher

- Educational degree(s) reflecting intimate knowledge of math subjects. This may include Pre-Algebra, Pre-AP Algebra I, Pre-AP Algebra II, and Pre-AP Geometry/stats, AP pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB and BC and AP Statistics
- Ability to teach a non-traditional STEM related course such as Robotics, ICT, Engineering, Intro to AI, etc… is a plus.
- Knowledge of the Advanced Placement curriculum is a plus, but not required.
- Teaching certificate is a plus, but not required.
- All courses are taught in English, therefore communicating lessons in English is required.
- Being a native English speaker is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Holding a degree in math related fields from the U.S., Canada, Australia, or UK desired, but not mandatory
- Have excellent communication skills.

Social Studies Teacher
