The English Language Trainer will be responsible for implementing an English for Teachers program. This program is designed for Teachers of English in Public Primary Schools across the province of Siem Reap. The program covers both language proficiency (what to teach) and Teaching techniques (how to teach). The program is designed following the principles of flipped classroom: the students (Teachers in Public Primary Schools) will work individually online during weekdays to acquire basic knowledge and skills (grammar, vocabulary …) and will use the classroom time (3 hours/week on Saturday or Sunday) to practice.

Duties
  • Development of the online content based on the existing language framework (Communicative Language Learning) and the Interactive Teacher Training Framework. This content will be used by yourself and by other Language Teachers
  • Design of classroom activities (to practice the newly acquired knowledge)
  • Conducting workshops with the students
  • Monitoring and assessing students’ progress
  • Overviewing and coaching English Teachers who run similar workshops
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • A degree and a few years of relevant experience as an English Teacher Trainer.
  • Experience in working with teachers is a must.
  • Good practical knowledge of IT, knowledge of Moodle is an asset.
