Position Summary

Location: KumrouKrong (KK) Primary School, Kampong Chhnang

Schedule: Follows school hours and holidays

Start Date: February 3rd, 2024

About the Role

In partnership with The Atlas Foundation and The Anita, Alex, and Annabel Nicholson Memorial Fund, WAH Foundation is launching an English Language Laboratory at KK Primary School, with support from Studycat. This lab will provide young learners with transformative English learning through app-based, interactive lessons. Studycat will train educators to maximise the program’s classroom impact.

Note: This role reports to WAH Foundation and is supported by Studycat.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • What will you do?
  • Lesson delivery - use tech, visual, and audio tools to support comprehension and engagement
  • Interactive learning - provide interactive learning experiences tailored for each student
  • Content management - create and distribute educational materials, including the Studycat app, stories, and workbooks
  • Student assessment - monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback
  • Program management - coordinate class scheduling with school leadership
  • Program evaluation - collaborate with Studycat to assess program and student outcomes
  • Team leadership - oversee a part-time educator assisting with the project
Requirements:
  • Essential requirements:
  • Energy and commitment - engaged, enthusiastic, and eager to make an impact
  • Problem-solving - creative and resourceful in handling classroom and tech challenges
  • Communication - effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Khmer Speaking
  • Integrity and discipline - demonstrates high moral values and discipline
  • English proficiency - spoken and written English
  • Would be beneficial for the candidate to also have:
  • Tech skills - experience with digital learning tools, apps, and interactive whiteboards
  • Organisation - highly organised, managing a rotating class schedule
  • Qualifications - no formal qualifications are required; relevant experience or certifications are beneficial
