Working in Cambodia since 2005, SNV implements projects in the agriculture, energy, and water sanitation and hygiene (WASH) sectors. Using market-based approaches, we emphasize environmental sustainability and inclusive development. We lower the barriers to economic and social development and promote local ownership. SNV provides tailor-made and sustainable interventions that are effective at raising incomes, providing meaningful employment opportunities, and improving access to and coverage of basic services. Our interventions acknowledge the critical importance of improved climate change resilience and mitigation strategies to achieve sustainable change. Our work is aligned with the country’s national development priorities and strategies. We work in close collaboration with the royal government, civil society, and private sector. Our multi-national team of experts works from our national office in Phnom Penh.

About the Programme

The Internship Program is intended to engage talented young people early in their professional career in the work that SNV carries out in Cambodia. When hiring young people, SNV has a responsibility to ensure they are receiving meaningful opportunities to gain knowledge, skills and experiences that will serve them well in future work. The intern is expected to be curious about the work SNV carries out and to be diligent in trying to meet the requirements of the tasks laid forth. The internship program has a fixed 3-month duration as per the timelines. The intern is expected to work as full-time 40-hour work per week, normally over five (5) days. The sucefully internship will be provided the monthly stipen follow SNV policies.

Announcement Positions

Energy Project Intern (1 Position)

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Assist Project Field Officers (PFOs) in data collection of RBF sales from supported enterprises;
  • Check the quality and accuracy of the collected data;
  • Communicate/feedback with PFOs for missing/incomplete collected data;
  • Assist with data entry of collected RBF sale reports from SMEs;
  • Assist with data cleaning;
  • Track project progress by relevant groups/sub-group analysis with sex disaggregated data and IDPoor households;
  • Conduct data gathering and key informant interviews with SMEs or households for interesting insights, impacted by the project. Then, report to the supervisor;
  • Perform other tasks as required from the supervisor.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • University students in related field or equalvalent
  • Intellectual curiosity, and passion for the work SNV is carrying out in Cambodia
  • Demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience in computer literacy
  • Good in written and spoken English
 
 

Agi-Food Project Intern (2 Positions)

Position Summary

Location based: (1 positon) will be based in Phnom Penh Office and other (one position) will be based in Ratanakiri Provine

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Project support
  • Support the project team in day-to-day tasks and activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and provide updates on tasks and progress.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions related to the agriculture and livestock.
  • Assist in preparing of project report (progress reports, financial reports, etc.);
  • Collaborate with local farmer and stakeholders to promote sustainable agriculture.
  • Assist in organizing field visits, workshops, or events related to the project; and
  • Any other duties as requested by the supervisor.
  • Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning
  • Provide support to monitoring project progress and tracking performance indicators.
  • Participate in field data collection activities using mobile data collection applications.
  • Administrative Support
  • Provide general support to project activities, including administrative tasks, logistics, and procurement; and cash advance and clearance; and
  • Help taking note for meeting minutes, project files, records, photo library,
  • Learning and Professional Development
  • Collaborate with project team members, consultants, and stakeholders to exchange knowledge and coordinate activities;
  • Actively engage in project-related learning opportunities and seek to expand knowledge in relevant areas especially taking courses on Kaya learning.
  • Seek feedback from supervisors and colleagues to improve performance and skills; and
