Early Year Teacher is responsible for delivering quality education to students while maintaining good classroom management, disciplines, safety and well-being of the students.
Salary Range: Competitive (based on experience and qualifications)
Position Type: Full Time – Regular (Monday – Friday) (7:30am-4:45pm)

Reporting Lines
- A Teacher reports directly to the Coordinator.
- The Principal, is responsible for the Performance Assurance of teachers in conjunction with the direct line manager.

- Pedagogy (Early Years Focus)
- Apply current, research-informed Early Years teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Deliver play-based, inquiry-led learning that balances child-initiated and adult-guided experiences
- Embed Assessment for Learning (AfL) strategies through observation, questioning, and reflection
- Create learning environments where skills, content, and tasks are relevant, meaningful, and developmentally appropriate
- Promote active learning, curiosity, and exploration through purposeful play
- Use ICT appropriately to enhance learning, documentation, and communication
- Implement inclusive strategies so all learners can access the curriculum and make progress
- Support learners to develop self-regulation, independence, and early goal-setting skills
- Promote positive social interaction, communication, and emotional development
- Curriculum Design
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Early Years curriculum frameworks and best practice
- Plan learning experiences based on curriculum learning goals, child development milestones, and the competences and mindsets defined by the HIA philosophy
- Use observation-led planning to respond to children’s interests, strengths, and next steps
- Contribute to whole-school curriculum development and monitoring processes
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan, reflect on, and refine curriculum delivery
- Assessment and Record Keeping
- Assess learners using developmentally appropriate assessment practices aligned with school expectations
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date anecdotal records and learning observations for each student
- Use assessment information to inform planning, differentiation, and targeted support
- Prepare and present clear, informative reports for parents and relevant stakeholders
- Use agreed school platforms and systems to document learning and communicate progress
- Promoting and participating in learning communities and professional development
- Engage actively in professional learning and reflective practice
- Participate fully in the Teacher Performance Assurance process
- Demonstrate a passion for teaching and learning by sharing ideas and effective practice
- Seek feedback from colleagues and leaders to continuously improve teaching and learning

- Take part in marketing and liaison activities such as Open Days and School Events
- Take on different roles, such as a tutor or mentor as required

- Cooperative to ensure effective use of resources to the benefit of the school and learners
- To liaise, as/when necessary and reasonable, with other HIA campuses and schools in the GSG group.
- English - Fluent
- Bachelor's Degree in /Master Degree in Education, Teaching, Psychology, Sociology or other relevant fields.
- English Teaching Certificate preferred, such as TEFL or CELTA with practical training.
- Licensed/registered teacher is desirable.
- Experience in IPC/IEYC/Cambridge Curriculum is an advantage.
- Experience in similar type of work in international schools or other educational institutions.
- Good classroom management experience.
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet and Email.
- Clean criminal record check.
- A recognised teaching qualification (Essential)
- Experience teaching in an Early Years setting (Essential)
- Strong understanding of play-based and developmentally appropriate practice (Essential)
- Strong communication skills in English (Essential)
- Commitment to professional growth and collaboration (Essential)
- Experience in an international school or bilingual setting (Desirable)
- Familiarity with international Early Years frameworks (Desirable)
- Experience using digital platforms for learning documentation and parent communication (Desirable)
