Job Description Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to implement, support and maintain Financial Data Warehousing solutions.
You will develop bespoke SQL based solutions; produce technical documentation on release and deployment, perform peer reviews and seek continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will be autonomous, creative and self-motivated to deliver excellence in their work. You will join a team that is passionate about teamwork and supporting one another under the spirit of Ubuntu philosophy
- Strong experience with SQL Server and its satellite technologies (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI)
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience including ability to write stored procedures, create views, table
- Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills
- Experience building and optimizing ETL processes and data pipelines using SSIS
- Analytical and data manipulation skills
- Experience as a Business Intelligence analyst
- Collaborate with Stakeholders - Translating business requirements into data mapping
- Background in finance is preferred
- Experience as a Data Warehouse engineer
- Demonstrate skills in database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving end-to-end database integrity issues, performance issues, deadlocking issues
- Understanding Data Architecture principles and Data Governance best practices.
- Good communications skills in English
- Excellent leadership / team management skills
- Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS)
- Familiar with Agile development methodology
- Can quickly adapt to changing requirements
- Detail-oriented
