Driver and Operations Support Technician

CIS seeks a full-time Driver and Operations Support Technician. As a driver, the candidate will transport students and staff to and from CIS campuses. They will ensure the safety of passengers, follow health and safety protocols, and engage with CIS families in both Khmer and English. As a daytime security guard, the candidate will work as part of a team to maintain the safety and security of students, staff, guests and parents on CIS property. When providing operations support, the candidate will deliver documents and supplies, and assist with the set-up and facilitation of school events. This position would be suitable for those with some professional experience as a driver, ideally in an international school setting.
- Driving
- Pick up and drop off students from designated points at the given times as per the schedule
- Wear seat belt at all times and ensure passengers do the same
- Obey all traffic laws and ensure the safety of passengers
- Perform routine vehicle inspection and maintenance including checking the oil, fuel, brakes, lights, windshield wipers, and water and tire pressure to ensure the school bus is in good working order at all times
- Report any accidents, vehicle damage, mechanical failures, etc. to the Operations Officer.
- Notify the school in a timely manner if personal leave or absence is anticipated
- Keep a log of daily driving mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, etc.
- Ensure the vehicle is in a clean and roadworthy condition before and after use
- Support the Operations Officer in servicing transportation bookings made by staff using the online reservation Google form.
- Deliver parcels, documents, and urgent letters, and drop off/collect staff for meetings, on time

- Bachelor's Degree
- Undergraduate Degree
- At least of professional experience as a driver and ideally in an international school setting for 1 year
- Cambodian driving license (D2)
- Technical qualification or bachelor’s degree
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Khmer, both orally and in writing
- Organized, focused and able to understand and follow safety procedures and instructions
- Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Physically fit
- Willingness to work on weekends, holidays and evenings as required by the school
