Driver and Operations Support Technician

Position Summary

CIS seeks a full-time Driver and Operations Support Technician. As a driver, the candidate will transport students and staff to and from CIS campuses. They will ensure the safety of passengers, follow health and safety protocols, and engage with CIS families in both Khmer and English. As a daytime security guard, the candidate will work as part of a team to maintain the safety and security of students, staff, guests and parents on CIS property. When providing operations support, the candidate will deliver documents and supplies, and assist with the set-up and facilitation of school events. This position would be suitable for those with some professional experience as a driver, ideally in an international school setting. 

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Driving
  • Pick up and drop off students from designated points at the given times as per the schedule
  • Obey all traffic laws and ensure the safety of passengers
  • Keep a log of daily driving mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, etc.
  • Support the Operations Officer in servicing transportation bookings made by staff using the online reservation Google form.
  • Deliver parcels, documents, and urgent letters, and drop off/collect staff for meetings, on time
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Operations Officer and the Association Director of Operations.
  • Security
  • Monitor the school entrance, greet visitors, check for proper identification and assist with directions
  • Ensure smooth traffic flow in front of the campus gates and assist students at arrival and dismissal time
  • Operations support
  • Deliver documents and supplies to designated areas
  • Assist with event set-up and take-down, such as by moving furniture and sound systems
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • Cambodian driving license (D2)
  • At least one year of professional experience as a driver and ideally in an international school setting
  • Technical qualification or bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge, Competencies and Attributes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Khmer, both orally and in writing
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • Organized, focused and able to understand and follow safety procedures and instructions
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Physically fit
  • Willingness to work on weekends, holidays and evenings as required by the school
