SHARE (Services for the Health in Asian and African Regions) is a Japanese NGO that envisions a world where people can live healthy lives both in mind and body through a Primary Health Care approach. SHARE’s work in Cambodia began in rural communities in 1988. Since July 2017, SHARE has operated an office in Preah Vihear Province for a child health promotion project.

Driver and General Assistant

Position Summary

Location: Krong Preah Vihear, Preah Vihear Province

Start working: March 17th, 2025

Expectations - Duties, Responsibilities
  • Driver and General Assistant to travel to activity sites or meeting places both within and outside Preah Vihear Province.
  • Drive safely in compliance with traffic laws.
  • Maintain vehicle safety (brakes, oil, tires, water, lights, seat belts, engine oil, air filters) and keep the vehicle clean (Some maintenance tasks may be required on weekends).
  • Record departure and arrival times in the driving log for every trip.
  • Refuel the vehicle with gasoline or diesel and report fuel usage to the administrative staff.
  • Detect and report any vehicle issues or broken parts, including the cause and potential solutions, to the administrative staff.
  • Pick up and assist headquarters staff and visitors during visits to Cambodia (This duty may be required on weekends).
  • Check and manage vehicle-related documents (e.g., road tax, inspections) with the supervisor.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as making copies, handling inventories, office maintenance, and processing utility payments.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Requirements - Skills, Qualifications, Experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience as a driver; experience working with NGOs is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Full compliance with traffic and Cambodian traffic laws.
  • Ability to use maps and messaging applications.
  • Effective communication skills in both Khmer and English.
  • Punctual and reliable.
