Function and role
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, timely, and reliable transportation for Seva staff, visitors, goods, documents, and program-related materials. The role also supports office administration, logistics, errands, vehicle care, and field operations as needed. The position requires a responsible, disciplined, service-oriented person with strong awareness of road safety, confidentiality, and organizational procedures.
The position requires flexible working hours, as needed for business operations.
Note: This position is offered as a one-year contract. Renewal may be considered based on performance, funding availability, and organizational needs.

- Driving and Transportation
- Safely drive staff, management, visitors, and authorized passengers to assigned destinations in Phnom Penh and the provinces.
- Provide transportation support for meetings, workshops, field visits, project monitoring visits, airport pick-up/drop-off, and other official travel as requested.
- Deliver and collect official documents, parcels, equipment, supplies, and other materials in a timely and secure manner.
- Ensure punctual pick-up and drop-off, while allowing sufficient time for traffic, road conditions, and security requirements.
- Vehicle Care, Maintenance, and Records
- Conduct daily vehicle checks before use
- Keep the vehicle clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
- Ensure the vehicle is regularly serviced according to the maintenance schedule
- Immediately report any mechanical problems, accidents, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and maintenance records.
- Ensure safe parking and security of the vehicle, documents, tools, and equipment at all times.
- Ensure vehicle registration, insurance, and related documents are kept safely and are up to date, in coordination with the office.
- Office, Administrative, and Logistics Support
- Assist with basic office administration tasks, including photocopying, scanning, filing, document delivery, and organizing office materials when required.
- Support procurement and delivery tasks, including collecting quotations, purchasing office supplies, delivering documents to banks, suppliers, or partner offices as assigned.
- Assist with loading, unloading, packing, and organizing goods, equipment, documents, and field materials safely.
- Support preparation for workshops, meetings, field activities, and events, including arranging materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Carry out other reasonable office, logistics, or field support tasks assigned by the supervisor or management.
- Safety, Security, and Compliance
- Strictly follow Cambodian traffic laws, Seva policies, and organizational driving and safety procedures.
- Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts and follow basic safety instructions while traveling.
- Ensure that only authorized staff or approved passengers use the vehicle, and that the vehicle is not used for personal purposes without prior approval.
- Respect security and travel procedures for field trips, including road conditions, checkpoints, travel authorizations, and communication requirements.
- Report accidents, incidents, delays, irregular situations, or security concerns immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct when transporting staff, visitors, documents, or sensitive organizational materials.
- Communication and Reporting
- Coordinate daily movement plans with the supervisor
- Maintain regular communication during official trips and promptly report delays, route changes, vehicle issues, or other concerns.
- Submit fuel receipts, vehicle logbooks, and other required supporting documents accurately and on time.
- Provide updates on vehicle condition, servicing needs, and transport-related issues to support proper planning and budgeting.
- Communicate politely and professionally with colleagues, partners, suppliers, and visitors.
- Other related duties may be assigned as needed.
- English - Basic
- Khmer - Fluent
- Middle School as a minimum
- High School Diploma is preferred
- Professional driving for 2 to 3 years as a minimum
- Minimum secondary education, preferably Grade 9–12 or equivalent.
- Valid Cambodian driving license appropriate for the assigned vehicle type.
- Must maintain a clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or moving violations.
- Experience with an NGO, company, or international organization is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Phnom Penh roads and key provincial routes.
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and ability to identify common vehicle problems.
- Ability to support basic office, logistics, and administrative tasks.
- A Khmer native speaker, and able to speak and understand basic English
- Honest, reliable, punctual, disciplined, respectful, and responsible.
- Good physical condition and willingness to travel to provinces when required.
