Digital Media and Communications Intern

Position Summary

Duration: 6 months

Overall purpose for hiring this intern:

The primary purpose of hiring a Digital Media Intern is to enhance and expand the digital presence of World Vision International (WVI) across various social media platforms. The intern will be responsible for managing and optimizing WVI’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and the website. This includes preparing compelling captions, designing engaging artwork, scheduling posts, and boosting content as necessary to increase visibility and engagement. In addition, the intern will create and repurpose content across platforms to ensure consistent messaging and support WVI’s campaigns, technical programs, operations, and other initiatives as required. The intern will also assist in specific events and activities, contributing to a vibrant and dynamic digital strategy that resonates with our audience and promotes WVI's mission. Other responsibilities may include conducting research on current digital trends, tracking performance metrics, and collaborating with team members to develop innovative digital strategies.

The Digital Media Intern is expected to gain valuable skills and insights during their tenure, particularly in the areas of communication and multimedia production. Key learning outcomes include:

  • Communication Skills Set: The intern will learn how to craft effective messages and engaging content tailored to various audiences across different platforms. This includes understanding tone, voice, and brand representation in digital communications.
  • Multimedia Production: The intern will gain hands-on experience in creating and editing visual content, including graphics, photos, and videos. They will learn to utilize tools and software for multimedia production while enhancing their technical capabilities in editing and design.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Website
  • Prepare content and captions for social media
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings for projects, campaigns, and programs
  • Support events (promoting events digitally, live coverage)
  • Prepare consent forms and photo/video caption sheets
  • Perform administrative tasks (e.g., organizing files, scheduling)
  • Research current digital trends and best practices

Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Good
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Digital Marketing major is preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Intermediate level English knowledge in writing
  • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Ai, Photoshop, Capcut, Canva)
  • Knowledge of Chat GPT, Nova, Meta ads, Google trends
Soft Skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks under a specific turn-around time
 
 

Strategy, Evidence and Impact Intern

Position Summary

Location:  National Office, Phnom Penh

Duration:6 months

THE PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

According to the FY27 Annual Business Plan approved by SLT, the SEI team will be responsible for and ensure to deliver 3 big main important products included, 1) end-to-end process of national strategy development and IPF preparation, 2) national AIM+ process which included 6 ADPs end-program evaluation individually, and 3) the national piloting for beneficiaries tracking which guided by GC. Moreover, the SEI team is also ensure to remain the quality of program based on business as usual.

Expectation of the learning

  1. The opportunity to understand the end-to-end process of strategy development including the desk review, workshop and strategy document development
  2. Build stronger knowledge background and experience about sampling frame methodology and sample size selection process for any research study
  3. Be able to understand about how to document, how to report, and how to do a data quality check to ensure data quality for reporting
  4. Experience in administrative work and coordination arrangement with different stakeholders
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Major Responsibilities End-to-End process of strategy development:
  • Support in gathering and synthesizing data to support strategic development processes including desk review for landscape assessment
  • Help organize logistic, agendas, materials, briefing notes, and presentation for strategy workshops, planning sessions, and any SEI meetings
  • Support in drafting meeting minutes, summaries, and follow-up action plan tracker
  • Maintain an organized SEI documents, reports, and reference materials
  • Monitoring and Evaluation:
  • Support in consolidating the sampling frame /beneficiary list for AIM+ data collection
  • Support in finding resources or evidences of baseline data for 6 ADP AIM+ EPE.
  • Support in preparing the capacity building materials for AIM+.
  • Program Information Management:
  • Assist SEI team for completeness checking for Program Information Database
  • Support in verifying data consistency for FY26 annual reporting
  • Support SEI team for beneficiary tracking piloting process
Expected Profile of Candidates
Languages:
  • English - Good
  • Khmer - Good
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree in 3rd or 4th year university student in Business Administration, Social study, Management, or a related field
Skills & Knowledge:
General & Technical Skills
  • Previous volunteer experience or involvement in administrative or coordination tasks.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Good communication skills in both Khmer and English (spoken and written).
  • Familiarity with digital platforms such as AI or simple data-entry tools.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Strategy maker, programe information management, or programming.
Soft Skills
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong sense of teamwork
