Economic and Finance Intern

Report to: Chair Committee & Executive Director
The Economic and Finance Intern will play a pivotal role in strengthening support services for the Committee of Access to Finance at the CWEA to its members. This includes collecting economic and financial data, performing data analysis, and presenting findings through various communication products such as regular bulletins and financial mapping guides that benefit women entrepreneurs. The role also involves supporting the Committee of Access to Finance and other relevant committees on strategic linkages between financial providers and female entrepreneurs initiatives aiming to enhance access to finance for its members.
- Lead data collection and analysis on national, regional, and global financial development trends—such as sustainable finance (including green finance and ESG) and emerging financial models—that are beneficial to CWEA members.
- Translate data insights into financial newsletters tailored to the Cambodian context and the needs of CWEA members and distribute them regularly.
- Work with the Committee on Access to Finance to conduct business diagnostics for members, identify gaps, and develop strategic actions to address those gaps.
- Support events related to WEE Access to Finance and other relevant committee activities.
- Promote innovative, practical solutions that align with CWEA’s core values.
- Collaborate with other committees and teams within CWEA to build synergies and enhance overall effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with CWEA members, board members, relevant committees, public, private, and other key stakeholders.

- English - Fluent
- Bachelor's Degree in international business, Economics, Media and Communications, Trade, Investment, Accounting and Finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and report-writing skills.
- Experience in investment promotion, private sector development, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to integrate inclusive and sustainable principles into activity design and delivery.
- Strong communication skills in both Khmer and English.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with creativity, proactive thinking, problem‑solving abilities, and strong collaboration skills.
