The Deputy Head of the Laboratory of Environment and Food Safety at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) supports the Head of Laboratory in providing scientific, technical and operational leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality testing services in the fields of environmental, food and water safety.
The position assists in coordinating daily laboratory operations, supervising staff, maintaining technical excellence, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards, including ISO/IEC 17025. The Deputy Head also contributes to the implementation and continuous improvement of the laboratory quality management system, staff development, method validation, and resource planning.
In the absence of the Head of Laboratory, the Deputy Head may act on their behalf and represent the laboratory when delegated. The position contributes to IPC's mission to protect and improve public health by supporting reliable laboratory services, food safety, environmental monitoring and public health surveillance in Cambodia.

- Supervision on general lab activities to ensure smoothly workflow
- Supervision on lab inventory by managing well external stock and purchase order
- Supervision of trainees
- Updating the price list annually
- Participation in lab internal and external audit
- Validate and authorization of test report results
- Prepare monthly workplan for all staffs
- Supervise of new methods setting up in the laboratory
- Supervise of research projects
- Supervise on equipment verification, control, and maintenance
- Participate in management review
- Head lab replacement when he/she is absence
- Other tasks appointed by Head lab

- Master's Degree in Food microbiology or Food chemistry or a related field
- Expertise in Food Microbiology or Chemistry
- Experience of working in an accredited laboratory with ISO17025
- Influence in English (reading, writing and speaking)
- Mastering informatics tools (MS word, excel, access, power point, …)
- Strong in management skills
- Strong in organization skills, synthesis capacity, initiative, flexibility and communication
Laboratory Technician

Position Overview:
Laboratory Technician: performing of standardized immunological assays according to laboratory standard operation procedures such as PCR, ELISA, Luminex assay. Be able to work sterile and perform cell culture of primary immune cells.
Recruitment conditions:
- Contract: The initial contract is offered for 1 year (renewable)
- Start Date: October 1st, 2026
- Remote Work: Possibility to work remotely according to IPC internal regulation, subject to management approval.
